Waitrose gave us a basket of goodies as a thank-you for the help we have given them during this year. The wine was very good and we enjoyed the stollen. But panettone? I had some for breakfast and I am not impressed.

I added a thinly chopped sour apple to a boudin. Thought I would need a breakfast for champions before working at the shop today. Tomorrow is last day until March.

I haven’t had any yet. It’s a quarter to four in the afternoon. Gong to bed at seven in the morning is really not good. Bad girl Netsuke bad girl! I have been doing this since the start of my holidays and return to work at the end of next week.
I think I will have a yoghurt then a vibe later eggs on toast with melted cheese. The cheese melts after putting it on the cooking eggs. Mmm yum.

vietnam is jinxed for us... we had a nice time in the north but when we got to hoi an there was a monsoon and we had to be evacuated... we then rescheduled to spend 10 days there as hoi an, what we saw of it, was superb... yep, we had reservations for march, 2020!!!! (one of the 4 trips we had to cancel last year!)

At Christmas a grandson gave me (let's be realistic here: it would have been bought by his mother) a panettone. For breakfast I have been having a couple of slices spread with butter.
