fresh homemade croissants. you made your own croissants? Wow. Impressive. Yeah I did. I am not sure if it was worth the effort. But they were fluffy and buttery. I made them with sourdough, like everything else at the moment. I think I have to work on my technique a bit more.

I don't have time to eat before going to work. Lately I've been combining breakfast and lunch and having Brunch around 11:30 or so. Usually two slices of toast, two eggs, sometimes cheese over one yoke and one toast, sometimes I add tomatoes.
Not good to have eggs every day.

maybe swap with mushrooms from time to time, and add more veggies?

For breakfast this morning, I cooked the portion of fish that I had smeared with thai red curry paste but not cooked, added the rest of the curry "sauce" to reheat, and poured it all over cold rice. Excellent!

Not good to have eggs every day. It has taken a long time, perhaps 30,40, years, but the reputation of eggs is now almost completely rehabilitated. If anything it is that fat/oil they are fried in that now meets with suspicion. So, if you like, you could poach them in water, or even in a poacher with a little butter; another fallen angel currently being restored to the firmament. Like all animal produce they lack dietary fibre and so tend to bind.

First tomato of the day as a sandwich; many more to follow as the day, week, month, season, unfolds.

This morning we had breakfast in the dining room. It was a shock. We are accustomed to having our meals either outside on the terrace table or inside the sun room. It is raining hard. Has summer come to an end?

At the hotel yesterday, first I was shocked by the breakfast bag since it was forbidden to touch any food. But you could get them to add anything extra that you wanted since it was a replacement of their unlimited breakfast buffet. But what got me was that the utensils were still made out of plastic, even though plastic utensils were banned in the EU a year and a half ago. However, I soon discovered that it was a new kind of authorised plastic when my spoon melted in my coffee cup. Luckily, it hardened again by the time I wanted to eat my yogurt in spite of its new strange twist.

Feeling super lazy and just feel like having breakfast in bed. It won't have the same appeal when I've had to get up to make it.

this morning, I stewed an apple with cinnamon and a handful of nuts, plus added a small portion of oats. Then I had a small portion of yoghurt with turmeric, pepper, and a clove of fresh garlic. forgot to take it last night and am not planning any social activities today, so it's ok. I drank two mugs of herbal infusion with that and I'm about to start a pot of herbal infusion for the day.
