Zanzibar would be family but Australia would be by myself, alone, with no one else, solo - and a car.
Galapogos, as much as I would want to go there some time, rules out the solo and the car thing unfortunately.

Galapogos, as much as I would want to go there some time, rules out the solo and the car thing unfortunately. we did the galapagos by land... hanging out for several days each on the three major, inhabited islands where we had air conditioned hotels and flew between the islands (well, we tried taking a speedboat between two and it was one of the most miserable experiences)... |

I liked Tangalle and that rickety old train that goes through the hills to Kandy. I doubt anything has been done to the track or the carriages for nearly a century. At times people on foot were overtaking the train. |

I've been reading about the train, but I don't think I'll be taking it.
I'll initially be heading south around the coast and Tangalle is somewhere I've got my eye on.

there are elephant sanctuaries on the island. you might be interested in having a closer look at cousins of the ones you visit in Africa?

going to the village where my dad has his holiday house tomorrow ... my brother and family are there too, they rented a holiday apartment, so i might stay with them (my dad's house is very small, more of a bungalow) ... my other brother and his gf might come too, and when we arrive my brother's wife's sister will still be there for one more night with her kids ... ah and a friend of my little brother's will travel with us, as he wanted to visit my brother so i promised to take him along ...

Back from the South Island. Perfect weather for 4 days but arrived home after huge delays to a sodden flooded town . Next stop Auckland at the end of the month for a 4 year olds birthday party.

Besides that I am wondering if the theater is still standing(usable) will people spend money on their destroyed lifes or on a show ticket...... It's still few month away that I am supposed to go to SugarLand. |

I think sometimes people don't want to constantly look at the remnants of their past lives and they'll grab the possibility of enjoying a show.

This really depends on the nationality. Spain, Portugal, France they will go watch a show, more northern countries are too worried. Don't know about outside of Europe.

I heard once that the movie industry does really well in times of crisis as people need a distraction. Maybe that will also apply to the shows in Houston.

Just that the ticket price is not like a movie theater ticket.
Any way I am pretty sure that I will be there. Just that I still can't book my flight because I still don't have a finish date.
