Let's see, I'm off to the supermarket tomorrow.
Other than that, not far. I'm planning my first Staycation ever in mid Aug (with the possible exception of an overnight trip to SomewhereNotTooFar.
Hoping for a 4 day motorcycle trip in Oct at some point.
Life sure does change when you get a mortgage.

We're heading to Indonesia in a couple months - back to Manado, Sulawesi, which is where I stayed for a few months doing the research for my masters! I have to look up the family I lived with.
We're also stopping for a day in (drum roll please) - SINGAPORE - where I hope to give tarra the opportunity to fork me.
Then 3 days in Hong Kong.

february means the far east... flights to bkk and up to cnx booked... for the annual chiang mai flower festival... trying an airbnb apartment in the old city... then open as we are waiting to hear if a relative will still be in perth then... if so we'll go there via singapore and get the gossip on scrubbie's visit  if not we'll figure out somewhere else to go... would not be disappointed to see bagan again... |

We are just about to book up a long weekend in Majorca in September, been invited to stay at one of the island's most exclusive resorts to write a review and we can fly cheap and direct from Faro with Air Berlin so happy days :-)

Wow Lumi !! Moving again ! Yep! It is frustrating not knowing where we will be going yet though as I have to plan for my uni prac and entry back into the workforce. There will be positives though so certainly things to look forward to! |

Scrubb, it is a town in northern Alberta. Athabasca university is there.. A good friend of ours used to be a prof there until he retired.

The town of Athabasca is too small to have a Tim Hortons. The University has a pretty campus but it is mostly empty because nearly all classes are online.

This is the 10th anniversary of the end of my travel freedom. Explain please. I know you had a job that ended a couple of years ago in the airline industry but this is something else. September 2004 was my last trip (to Vietnam) before taking charge of my dying father and my Alzheimer mother. My mother is still in perfect physical health and I remain the final crystal in her dissolved memory. |

Leaving Tuesday for Lisbon. We are flying Delta; but our flight there is operated by Air France so it looked like we would be in the middle of the pilots' strike that starts tomorrow. Fortunately, Delta was able to get us on a KLM seat to Amsterdam (even got good seats) so can relax a little. But on a more disappointing note; Hedonista isn't going to be able to come up and meet us. I'm still eagerly taking his recommendations.

going tomorrow for a long weekend to the village where my dad has his bungalow - not staying in the bungalow this time though, as there is a whole bunch of us going (my dad and family and a friend of my little brother f, my brother k and family, a friend of my brother k and family), and my brother rented a holiday apartment there where they have an extra bed for a. and me ... hopefully there will be nice weather for chilling out at the lake and walking around in the forest ...
