Why can't other people manage their time, properly and show up on time?! I had to wait outside in the cold for, someone this morning and,now I am waiting for at least an hour for someone else. I managed,to get to both places on time even though it wasn't the most convenient for me, and now I have to sit around waiting with nothing to do. *sigh*

What dates will you be in Istanbul, nin? I hope it's not when I'm out of the country! 02.01. - 09.01.2014 I'll be there; but if I remember correctly that is exactly when you are not there

Ohh yes, the Bayram everyone keeps talking about and I keep wondering when it is. Mr lumi and I will be in Swissieland for part of it, though it seems he may need to travel back to Istanbul early for work

I have a British Airways flight booked at the end of November from Madrid, via Heathrow, to Amman. I have just been informed of a change to the take-off time for the Heathrow to Amman leg. I now have only 35 mins transit and must get from terminal 5 to Terminal 1. BA website states that a minimum of 1 1/2 hours is needed to do this transfer. I have contacted them via email and asked them what their solution is to this problem. We'll see what they have to say.

Once I'm in Switzerland I think we'll spend a lot of vacations over there cause there's so much left I want to see. And I'm totally in for a Taksim Piss-up but would prefer the traditional meyhane!

Had to change from Terminal 1 to 3 as far as I remember. I ran. Arrived at the gate, sat down on the plane and off we went. A minute later and I would have missed it. My luggage, of course, did not make it.

One problem is that you'll have to go through immigration because you change terminals. I think BA may have to put on a special plane for you.

there are transit buses between the lhr terminals which pick up and drop off airside so immigration is not involved... however, it's a long way by road between 5&1 having done that last week! i would demand an overnight with one of the flights being moved a day...

I'm still waiting for a reply from BA but I know the transfer just wont be possible. It could be that I'll end up on an earlier flight from Madrid.

If I could, I would. When I get the house sorted out then I'll have time to stay around the south. It is at the top of my list when the time is right.

So - Mrs M get back from Istanbul late Sunday night, she flies off to Beirut two days later for four days, two days after she returns I fly back to the UK and divert via Spain to return to Jordan, we have a week at home and she flies off again to the Lebanon, then two days at home and flies to Germany and then Croatia where a week later I fly out there for Christmas. I'll wonder what plans we have for January and February. Probably much of the same.

After I started the renovations and before my old car blew up I'd booked 2 weeks in Malta and 2 back in a flat I stay in in Paris. Leave mid Jan get back mid Feb. I doubt if the travel insurance i have will kick in because I'm broke rather than ill so will have to go Looking forward to it though as it has been a long hard year.
