I'm flying to the Netherlands on the 24th and will spend some time in Amsterdam and then in the south in Maastricht. Is that anywhere near your destination?

Nin, we will be staying with mr Lumi's family which is in the north. How long will you be in Holland? It's not a huge country afterall so we won't be that far apart.

From 25.12 until 03.01. The first 5 days we'll be in Amsterdam, which is not too far from where you are and then I'll be close to Maastricht.

I'm planning a US trip next year.
Probably Houston (friend lives there with her husband & kids) with a girly trip to Las Vegas or New Orleans. Thinking of sneaking in a trip to LAX also or Salt Lake City (friend lives there & he promises to take me camping) but not sure how possible that is.
Right now this is all a dream as it depends on the job situation next year.

I'm really not sure where I'm going when I finish this contract. Leaning toward a sailboat trip from Panama to Colombia, through Kuna Yala, and onward to Ecuador and Peru. Indonesia is high on the list too.

first booked trip of the new year is next month, 2-3 weeks in Florence, Italy.
Am supposed to then book something for the US to visit family, but keep putting it off, not that I don´t want to see family, just not up for the 12 plus hour flights, airport waits, etc. Or worse, having the internal US flights, which in my experience are always overbooked so I end up waiting to get on whatever other flight they have.
Slovakia--Russia as one visit is on my list this year, but will probably just end up going back to Florence 3 times this year instead, as it´s easier, familiar, home away from home.

Andalucia plus Madrid in April. I've always wanted to see the Alhambra. Plus, there's a very famous April fair in Seville with flamenco an' horses, an' stuff (they can keep the bullfighhting.)

local for now - Durbs and Joey's (sp), probably in April and May although this was supposed to be Feb and March. Then further afield it will be Mozambique perhaps as early as late Jan or early Feb then France and Italy June or July. Must still confirm.

A week today we fly to Thailand. First we have a few days in Chiang Mai (where we'll rdv with an American we met there 7 years ago); then taking buses to wander round north Thailand. We'll have the 30 days allowed without getting a visa. We'll break our journey back with 3 nights in Muscat.

What dates will you be in Muscat at the end of your trip Baz? I fly through on Feb 19th en-route to KL and have a couple of hours at the airport, would be nice to meet for a coffee if we overlap.

Hedon, well there's something. We fly into Muscat on 19 Feb from Bangkok. We arrive at 21.45. Are you there at the airport for coffee then?

This summer -- Moscow, Suzdal, St. Petersburg. Wife and I have never been, and we're taking the yunguns. Have the itinerary, odgings and transports pretty much all lined up. Llittle thanks to TT which went dark just as we were reaching decisions, but the TripAdvisor DEs for Russia are good, and not in the corporate mold common to TA. But if anyone has tips for that please let me know.

San Sebastian, I've been meaning to go there for ages, for no other reason than to eat. It is drivable from here, like 10 hours, but very difficult to get to by plane so never got around to it yet.
