kota kinabalu in malaysian borneo. we just got confirmation of the last two climbing permits for mount kinabalu on saturday night. for the first time ever, i am paying a tour agency to arrange everything. i know it's more expensive, but i cannot be arsed with international phone calls, bad lines, heavy accents, unanswered emails...

have fun with that! I´m waiting til the weather gets better to visit my NYC family---maybe, depending on flight costs from here and back. Looking forward to visiting the libraries, museums, zoo also. And just my usual haunts and city walks all over. It´s so hard to get them to dress for the weather, and not for fashion/looks,) haha Good luck w that,) Have a great time seeing a basketball/hockey game or few!
-----
Next recent trip a month in Florence, but I really dread already how crowded it is there...so haven´t booked yet, still deciding if I want to go now, or wait til the weather is cool again when it is off season again. And if I want to take the train elsewhere nearby, but that is easier/cheaper to book at the trainstation once already there
-----
Looking forward to some of my US family coming here this summer. Keep getting reminded asked if I am coming there for visits, but really still dread the long flights when spoiled and already am dreading even short 2 hour flights from here. I really don´t like sitting on the long flights any more. Keep contradicting myself, yes, then no..back and forth

Shame, though it's nice in December too - Christmas markets!! Finally got my dates - it's not early March, it's mid-late in London, and only 4 days max Still, I'm looking forward to it, plus the 2 or 3 days in Paris afterwards.

I am most likely flying to the UK/England at the beginning of June as well but haven't booked the flight yet as I don't know for sure if I'll be in the UAE or Turkey.
And I am going into the desert to Liwa Oasis this coming weekend to celebrate my birthday!

Next trip is to the United States (in April) followed by one day in London (in May), but that trip is just to go to the theatre. The theatre ticket represents less than 3% of the total cost of the trip.

We just booked tickets to Mexico for the end of the month! We`ll scuba for a week, then have about 5 days to look around - probably go to Merida and do day trips from there.

Ardfern, the cottage, in ten days time Alpe d'Huez in June Currently planning a holiday for the five of us to visit the US in 2014, calling at Yosemite, San Francisco, Highway 1 to LA and then finally the four corners area. Kids and CLB are very keen on it.
