sunshine, how long will the walk take? Is it any of the long-distance hiking paths like the Trans Swiss or the Via Alpina? I'm currently enjoying the annual visit to Germany and looking forward to a side trip to Wales in about two weeks. Yes, it's called Via Valtelina and it will take 7 days of hiking  looking forward! Enjoy your trip to Wales......maybe we can still meet?  |

Looks like it will be a week of camping in Yosemite late August. I'm really excited about going.
Initially I wanted to go to Hawaii with mastermind but he got a potential job offer during that time. I was really bummed about it as I can't just move my time off. He really wants the job.
Then this morning talked with a friend of mine who is into dancing, body work, camping... a lot of the stuff I've been missing lately. I asked if she wanted to go to Hawaii-she had reservations for a camp site in Yosemite already for the same time frame. Wohoooo!

i still don't know, though the next trip will probably be in two weeks.
oh, but next weekend i will go to visit my dad at his holiday house near a national park, about an hour north from here - does that count as a trip?

I am trying to plan a road trip within Turkey for my family...To the Agean region...I plan to visit first Ayvalik, spend 2-3 days there than to Izmir to visit my uncle and then to may be Çeþme...In September.

I think a supermarket is a perfectly valid destination. Like buying an air ticket to a foreign country it cots a lot of money, you are faced with masses of foreign food, exotic drinks tempt you, there are crowds of people and wailing children, you are subject to security checking and long queues...

Up north Wisconsin for a long weekend in September ... mom's birthday present, we'll see all her surviving siblings and a few of my cousins.
Next Spring I hope to return to Romania, and then make my way through Serbia, Bosnia-Hercegovina, on to Croatia to spend some time in a villa, and also see Plitvice National Park and the "falling lakes".

Mr lumi and I just booked for Australia near the end of October. We will have exactly a week and will be hosting our belated wedding reception there. It's going to be a rushed week as we leave the first day of school holidays and return at midnight the day before I need to be back at school. I am usually shattered after such a long flight (I generally can't sleep) so hopefully the few hours I get before having to wake up and go back to work will be enough to get me through the day!

I'm already back from a 6 hour hike. Beautiful region, had the view to the lake of Thun and all the great "Berner-Oberland-mountains".

Might go to Munich for a long weekend end of September - an American friend of mine will be there for hte Octoberfest, and I haven't seen him in years, and I could combine it with a visit to my cousin. I just have to wait a bit about my work contract (don't want to ask for a day off in a time for which I don't have a contract yet) and then hope that there are still some cheap train tickets available. Else I could look into busses or car sharing, but not sure I want to go by bus...
