Well, it turns out that my next trip will be to Mons/Bergen, Belgium (name depends on the language you speak). Sad, really.

Heading to Charleston South Carolina tomorrow - and not for work!! It means I'll have walked on the Atlantic and Pacific shores within a week - but Washington was work - this is all fun.
Charleston is a very old city (for the US) and is supposed to be wonderful - full of great places to see and great food. We'll only be there four days but also looking forward to getting out of the snow,

Charleston was great. I absolutely loved it, and yes, MissA, the dance is named after it (I had to look that up). Now I'm in Norfolk, Virginia, but this is for work so not the same. At least it is warmer than Detroit.
Of course, next week I am in Athabasca Canada which is 1) much colder than Detroit 2) a million miles from anywhere.

Not sure if I have mentioned it and am too lazy to go searching for it, but we are going to Denmark for Easter, visiting friends. I just hope I will be rid of my crutches by then...

Next week I go to Athabasca, Alberta, Canada. If this sounds like the middle of nowhere, it is. Of course it is a work trip.

oh, sorry lovely! I was being facetious... it's because of the "be there, done that"
there is a phrase here that says: "been there, done that, got the T-shirt" kind of meaning "I've been there and can prove it". sorry again. xxxx

cool... we're planning on hiring a guide with car and driver and do a road trip for 3 weeks... i've been corresponding with somebody who did it that way a couple of years ago (and who referred the guide) and it sounds great: flexibly driving through remote villages and getting to see people as they live...
