How was Grahamstown, james? I have dreams of running off to Bathurst and buying a smallholding!
I'm off to a 100th birthday party in the UK in May.

Bleah, I am jealous. We have some time we could take off in theory, the next few weeks would work with my project schedule and Mr gringa's work. but supposedly I have the next round of interviews coming up soon and no one is letting me or other applicants know when they are. So, here we are stuck. If I do get the job, I will work out some way to take a few weeks off between my contract work and starting in the office.

Blacksburg, Virginia; next week Wednesday. Not the most exciting destination but it'll still be nice to see a different part of the U.S.

Looking elsewhere.

Grahamstown is in the Eastern Cape. A small place, maybe just over an hour outside of Port Elizabeth.
Bigger trip, not sure yet and probably towards the end of the year. I'll see what floats my boat.

I know James, I've already been there before. Not sure I'm allowed to go again yet for the second time without him. There are some places some won't go and others will.

no, i think very different in certain ways. For one, no ocean. They have a festival once a year that is Fab. but i've never been. So i might go this year.
As for the difference, maybe MissA might be able to explain the difference better if she's been or Gobs.

Just got back earlier today from Amman. Weather was cold and rainy. Looked at ten apartments for when we arrive and two schools for the kids. On return got a message confirming transfer of money for the sale of our car here, the Satan's Chariot. Not bad when you buy a car for fifteen thousand Euro, run it for three and a half years, over 100,000km in Egypt, then sell it for twenty five thousand Euro.
