Swinton's good and quirky so I like her. Orlando Bloom is a PUFF! Fucking Pirates of the Carob Bean Bollocks.
Wall. E! How cute! I had tears at the end! Dead Snow - again! I love it when the Fat Guy gets a 'Ride' when he's having a sh1T! The Unforgiven - Muff said...

Pride - A true story about Gay and Lesbian support for the Miners during the strike in 1984.
Superb Film with great acting and laughs and tears where they should have been.
My favourite actor, Paddy Considine, played his part nicely. Bill Nighy played....well....Bill Nighy..
The music of the time was spot on.
Please see it if you can as it had limited release and I watched it on an illegal internet site that is safe and spot on - PM me for details of it if you want as so many get closed down.

Jesus, after seeing The Riot Club today, I really cannot imagine why the revolution has not yet reached Old Blighty.

The Riot Club still exists, Mr K, but they are toned down now and are called Bankers. Remember Flaming Ferraris at the height of the Yuppies?
I think that England, as regards Rioting against Capitalism, is all rioted out after the Classic Poll Tax Riots. Now? We follow the USA's line, again, and just riot about some Policeman doing his job and shooting a Black man before the Copper gets shot. Strange times we live in.
You will love Pride, t.
Can you explain to me your, apparent, obsession with Japanese/Far East films? Afterlife does look good.

Oh, so dodge the slightly awkward questions?
I can't believe that anyone can play Richard Burton's part better than him.
Mind you they were almost Soul Brothers were Dylan and Burton - Both Sheep Sha55ers and pi55 heads...

Furry Muff! But you do tend towards the East? soz if I am wrong.
The Communards and Bronski Beat were brilliant for their high tempo dance music - At the time, i really didn't associate it with Gay music and Poppers!
You have seen Dead Man's Shoes with Paddy in it by now? I think he's my favourite actor at the moment.

Saw Unbroken - disappointing, though like you said, tzarine, Jack O'Donnell's performance was great.

Oh dear..
Just watched The Hundred-Foot Journey..
Well it looks like Helen Mirren liked a couple of months in France and the Screen Writers took a couple of months off.
Self Indulgent Clap Trap sprung to my mind - especially when I noticed that Spielberg and Oprah were the Producers...
It's worth watching, I suppose, and you may be entertained but I can guarantee that you will feel it's a 'weak' film and won't ever watch it again.
Just for BazFaz - Can you really get fresh sea urchins in a Market in the middle of France?

I saw 50 Shades of Grey yesterday at 8:55am. Not a fan, but 9am is my normal movie time and I felt it best to get this thing out of the way as quickly as possible. I am among those people who believe that you can't denounce absolute crap unless you have actually seen it. And so, yes, this movie is absolute crap, even though it is not really the fault of the actors. Today I went to see Big Hero 6 at 9:10am, and I found it much more satisfying.

Well everyone knows that 50 Shades of Vanilla/Spunk was going to be absolute Shite so why you ever went to watch it - even with a Free Pass - is beyond me...
"can't denounce absolute crap unless you have actually seen it" Well I Fecking well can!
Did you get a Hard on/Stiffy at all, watching the Film by yourself, MrK?

It barely got a -12 rating in France and probably begged for it since there was nothing the least bit erotic in the movie.

I say Eddie Redmayne for best actor, Marion Cotillard for best actress.
Of course Marion Cotillard is just an idle whim.

Anyone can act as a Spaccer...
I'll go Michael Keaton for Birdman.
Grand Budapest to still win 5+!

|
|
Post by kerouac2 on Feb 15, 2015 23:48:56 GMT 2
I am sorry to say that Grand Budapest might go home empty handed except for something like set decoration. It is the sort of movie that people say they love and then they vote for something more traditional.

Nothing to do with that, Mr K...Ralph Fiennes, in a 'Comedy', was never going to beat Redmayne or Michael Keaton or even Cumberbatch or Cooper.
Where The Grand Budapest will win 5 Oscars is for Best Costume Design, Best Make Up, Best Original Screenplay, Best Production Design and maybe even Best Original Score.
I know that they aren't the 'Bi55ies' but they never went out to win any Awards when they made the film - unlike some Suck Asses like Boyhood and The Theory of Everything...
The Grand Budapest Hotel was the best film I saw last year and for a few years - apart from Guardians of The Galaxy, of course!

Julianne Moore is the most deserving of best actress.

|
Post by Grecian on Feb 16, 2015 22:42:23 GMT 2
Has anyone seen 'Still Alice'?
She is 1/66 ON to win so not a great upset there, Quixote?
Is she the Nutter in The Big Lebowski?
Julianne Moore is still a MILF/Cougar for me at her age!

I wouldn't recommend someone receive a best actress Oscar without seeing her performance Grecian. Still Alice was a good film.
Not sure if she was in The Big Lebowsky.
I do recall first seeing her in Boogie Nights which garnered her much attention.
She has an amazing range and yes,she is very attractive.

"I wouldn't recommend someone receive a best actress Oscar without seeing her performance "
Apparently, loads of the Old Gits who Vote for the Oscars never actually have watched some of the films - they leave it to their 12 years a Slave to do that.
You have actually seen The Big Lebowski, have you?
If not then rent the fecker at the weekend!

I did see The Big L many years ago and loved it. I just don't know that I could say that I remember Julianne Moore playing the "bimbo".

Post by Grecian on Feb 19, 2015 21:36:55 GMT 2
The Bimbo?
She played the Artiste who wondered if the word 'Vagina' put certain males off..
It certainly didn't put The Dude off!
