Bit of a Tongue Twister!
Anyway, just post about the latest Film you've seen - whether Cinema, DVD, Video, Blu-Ray or 8-Track .....
Give it marks out of 10 and a quick reason why you loved/hated or felt indifferent about it...
OP first...(OOps! I had to Modify then!)
I have to admit that I did watch Saving Private Ryan for the Umpteenth time last night..
Got to be a 8.5/10 for me. the first 30 minutes of the film I saw at the cinema a few years ago and it blew me away - Still as powerfull...After that, the interaction between the Division is played well and the futility of War is summed up quite nicely, for me..

The last movie I saw at the theater was a one that my lady would not like to continue to see the rest and we cut it off at half. It was Final Destination 5, and she found it too wild to watch..
I was enjoying tough, but I would give 6.8.

Hang on!
Does that mean if you'd seen the whole film it could have got a score of 13.6...out of 10?..
Get real with your scoring, Peps!

Flims or films ? Not sur -e I am.
Anyways, a scene from a movie I have seen recently...Girl and guy meet each other at a bar and fall in love but after a week or two the girl runs away withtout leaving any track.
A year or so the guy experiences the tough moments and handles the situation, one day they come across...the subway, the guy questions her run away, and blames....girl confesses that she is hiv+.
a some kind of a cheap drama it was, but it had something sincere and would score the movie 7.1.

One Day... A crap chick flic I got dragged to a couple weeks ago. 1/10, predictable, boring, shitty story line about seeing one day out of each year in an on/off relationship over around 30 years. Hated it, felt cheated out of two hours of life.
Refused to and see I Don't Know How She Does It last weekend because it has horsey face in it. Horsey also narrates the film... Just like sex in the city which I hated latterly. So basically because the CLB refused to go and watch Senna movie with me, I refused to go and watch horsey.

I'd like to see Mr. Popper's Penguins but could not make my wife in those movies, she simply does not like Jim Carrey I guess...
Anybody seen it ?

Mr. Popper's Penguins ??...Is that a made up name for a film?
Only thing that Jim Carrey has done that was any good was Dumb and Dumber....

I saw We Need to Talk about Kevin yesterday, and I think it was the grimmest film I have seen all year. Tilda Swinton needs to be weaned away from those roles she always takes.
It comes out in Old Blighty around the end of the month.

Looks like a half decent Film there - about the interaction between parents of a whacko teenage Killer..I've never heard of any of the Actors that are getting 5 stars in reviews...
Hellraiser 2 for me last night. Obviously not as good as the first one but still worth watching....

Looks like a half decent Film there - about the interaction between parents of a whacko teenage Killer..I've never heard of any of the Actors that are getting 5 stars in reviews... The most disturbing element for me was "child who despises his mother from the moment of his birth." That is a very hard concept to accept, even though I am sure that it exists. One thing that intrigues me is the difference in the various trailers. The UK trailer seems much "softer" than the international one, and the trailers definitely say radically different things about the film.

Tilda Swinton reminds me of Sissy Spacek...Kevin looks like a cracking young actor.
I'll try and catch it and it's the kind of film that The Picture House - arty place - would show here and I haven't been there for a few years so a good excuse...
I must watch my DVD of A Prophet again soon as I found it boring the first time but, apparently, it's quite good...

I want to see Tyrannosaur but nothing doing at the 3 cinemas in Exeter....
I'll wait and download it via a Torrent soon..
Paddy Considine was incredible when acting in Dead Man's Shoes and sounds like a very good effort behind the lens...

That looks quite interesting, albeit not hilarious. I had not heard of it. It does not have a release date here yet.
Tomorrow I'm going to see what might be the most unusual film of the year - a black and white silent film but not at all filmed as a parody. Apparently, the "Weinstein" machine in Hollywood is going to push it for the Oscars to the max, since it comes out in the U.S. around the end of November.

Looks like a parody of All Hollywood's Early Stars to me....
Swanson, Gable, Davis...
I hope you enjoy it but I would say self indulgent Bollocks without seeing it, mind!
Let me know...
I saw Trading Places last night..Still as funny!...7/10....

I have seen a Turkish movie "Once Upon A Time In Anatolia" the other day. I found it great I must say, may be the naivity in it can bore some and it is one of those movies not "everybody" likes...I recommend.
The after effects of seeing this movie were remarkable.

Good Trailor and looks like a Film I could watch there....
A Turkish Film that has no General release like Hollywood...Does the Turkish Film Industry just rely on Turkish people attending and paying?...
'The after effects of seeing this movie were remarkable' Care to expand?...
I saw First Blood again last night...Still as good as the first time!

You have seen Rambo - First Blood ?
Expanding the after effects is not easy to express, but what I can say is the movie stimulates one's perception of seeing things inside and out clearer. Does that make sense ?
Hollywood-wise film industry does rely on Turkish people attandence here and I must say that's quite a high number of people...If the movie is a good one, it would not be a surprise to make a million or triple viewers...
But this one fits in another category, Nuri Bilge Ceylan -the director- aimed Cannes and gained Grand Jury Award this year, but newly on scene here in Turkey...A bit late but dont know why so.

Cool...
But how do the Turkish get funding from?...
As I suggested - just the Turkish going to see the Film at a Cinema?
No General Release...
Rambo, indeed! A great film of its genre and asks more questions about the way People live in general...
Dale Farm may have that Film on a loop!

Mostly personal funds, but there are also powerful producers I guess.
You mean by general release, dvd's, tv industry, ads and all such...? if so, oh yes off course...
Agree on Rambo !
