It's unpleasant but not pointless. It is filling up the aquifers. It's also making puddles for small boys to stamp in.

we have one more week of israeli weather, though it is predicted to start raining and chill down to only 17C... and i am checking a variety of weather reports for next week in new york city environs... brrrr... can't wait until we get on the ship in two weeks and will only have to worry about dehydration and sunburn...

I think I wasted money on my new Kipling travel wallet.
Nice as it is, there isn't a section for your passport, nor does it have really have places for documents or A4 width paper. There are plenty of card holder places, but who needs that?
Sigh. Too big for use at home.

leaving tomorrow morning to spend a few days in the harz mountains with a group of friends (all parents with kids) ... plan was to ski, but there isn't really much snow. sure we will find fun things to do, though ...

the weather has been cooold and sometimes wet but we endured it... tomorrow we board the boat from manhattan to san francisco... it'll take us 3 weeks to get there!

We've been having a bit of a whirlwind tour of Germany since I drove up from Spain. On the list so far has been Frankfurt, Dietzenbach, Koblenz, Eifel region, Oldenburg, Bonn and now back to a suburb of Frankfurt. And I'm sick of the cold weather. Too cold outside and overheated inside.

going on another work trip to zurich tomorrow - this time we are going the whole office and just for one night (and i am flying this time, as it would be strange to be the only one taking the train) ... will be quite busy there, but hope the next time after that i will have time to spend there.

once we got a couple of days south of new york the weather has been perfect! we eat at the outside tables on the ship because the inside is too chilled by the air conditioner!

we have now spent consecutive days on bonaire, aruba and santa marta, colombia... on all three they claimed that the 86F/30C temperature is the same year around!

Our son is not far from Santa Marta currently, but up in the mountains where they can see Santa Marta but the temperature is quite a bit nicer ( think less hot) with lower humidity. He tells us it is close to perfect temperatures.

have done 2/3 of our cruise with less than one week to go... so far we visited the us east coast, northern south america, gone through the panama canal and visited central america... today was our first mexican port with two more to go before three ports in alta california... the end is in sight...
