I mentioned above about French Horror Films?
Inside, Switchblade Romance and Frontiers....
Well I have now seen all of the ones I ordered off Amazon for about £3 and am most impressed! Inside was particularly nasty!
I can't remember the last good horror film made in either the UK or the US so why are the French making such good films, Mr K?...

I saw Tyrannosaur last night - illegal download that took 15 minutes...
Great and gritty English film and the 3 main Actors were superb...8/10...
Not as good as Dead Man's Shoes but a close 2nd...

A very good question there, it can be answered right after seeing it with having some wine.

So? You watching it laters with Mrs Peps?
The main Character is brilliant in as much he rarely speaks..
A Complex film and I'll watch it again soon...

I am not sure if Mrs. Peps would like to see it 'again' really...for her, once consumed it is done.
Sooner or later I'd like to see it again...

I would watch Drive again, but I have been following Ryan Gosling before he even existed in the media. I have always liked the way he looks like he is receiving messages from another planet while trying his best to interact with earthlings.
Stay was a movie that showed this aspect far more than most.

Thanks for that, Mr K...First time i've seen Gosling is in Drive...
Complex role and the fact that he looks like the Chap next door and not full of muscle makes his OTT violence throughout the film - especially in the Lift - even more compulsive...
He's a great Actor and I hope he picks and chooses now and plays some cracking roles as I think he can play many...
Shame Drive was never even mentioned at The Oscars but then, that's down to the ***s pushing The Artist, apparently....

The director of Drive, has been awarded best director at Cannes, 2011 tinman: a facebook feed has just informed me.
And, Gosling and the same director (let me google his name)...... Nicolas Winding Refn are shooting a new film called " Only God Forgives! " ....

Cannes is so different to The Oscars though, Peps...
No one, ever, remembers the Cannes winners...
The Soundtrack was just brilliant in itself!

Actually, the Cannes people were very proud this year, because just about all of the films honoured were the same ones that the imperialists honoured.

Struggling for films at the moment - may watch Shutter Island laters...
Leonardo De Caprio really is turning out to be a great Actor after the shite Titanic....even though I liked that film!

I did the silliest thing the other day. I went to see Titanic 3D but my glasses were not working so I just took them off and watched the movie like that. Since it is "fake 3D" at least half of the screen remains in focus at all times, so it wasn't all that difficult to watch.
I should have run to the lobby to change the glasses, but I just couldn't be bothered.

I like the scene when the 'body' falls from the top and hits the propeller, late on...when the boat has turned turtle...

8/10 I would say.
It had this naive picture of lives...which I love to percieve. The most bit I liked is that it is expressed how we accept the things as we see, and how they are in real.
The movie slaps it on your face, and does that from different perspectives. Which gave a remarkable pleasure to experience. I must also add the great acting.
Last night, I have seen "Walk the Line"...was about Johnny Cash's life. Another 8/10 I would say..Reese Witherspoon was great and Joaqin Phoenix's act was top. Nice musical and a great taste of 50's and 60's. I would recommend everyone who likes those times...Dont know much about Cash and his life but the movie is a definite worth to watch I think.
