This morning I had my last decent Turkish breakfast for quite some time. Fresh börek, feta cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, bit of cold meat, boiled egg, etc.

some mango that tasted slightly off, and a rice cracker.

Oats with lots of low fat natural yogurt stirred through because I seem to have a backlog of yogurt that needs using up in the next couple of days or so.

Our guest who wants a cooked breakfast (she has wheat intolerance) brought a huge box of ground almonds. We gave her an egg. She made her own pancakes and everybody is happy.

hm, here they don't sell cheap because of things being torn, but basically they go down with the price in the late afternoon, when they want to get rid of everything (and when often the less nice-looking pieces are left over). i might buy some more if i happen to be there, then - but i don't time my shopping times around it...
haven't had breakfast yet. friday is my day off, so i only start the day sometime in the afternoon.

This morning I went out to a lovely cafe by the beach with my future daughter- in- law and her mother.
I had turkish bread with haloumi, pesto, mushrooms, poached egg and spinach plus an iced mango tea.

I had two slices of spelt bread with unsalted butter. and two cups of sage tea. (it is muggy/close/sticky outside and am hoping to not be a sweaty mess by the time I reach my friends.)

I buy a Latte most days on the way to work and get a stamp on a little loyalty card, when I have 10 stamps I get a free drink, so I get a massive big hot chocolate. It is always a very exciting moment for me. Today was that fabulous day, I had the free hot chocolate and an almond croissant to celebrate!!!
