Thank you for the explanation, Tzarine, I’m still having a giggle over it! I did look at some of those websites and er Fresh, plant-forward, earth friendly food !There is a biscuit that looks like a pile of steaming dog poop, and then there’s Eggslut menu! Really? We have a cake shop called “Two Flying Tarts” they have wonderful goodies! I can hear my dear dad’s voice - “Crikey! They must have seen you coming!” I feel I should add, my sunglasses cost way more than $400! I’d have been happy if that’s all they cost, but then again, mine are prescription lenses. Two pairs of glasses, one of them sunglasses, cost a bit under $1800.00 and this was a few years ago. Not only is the lens expensive the frames were also. From when I first had to wear glasses, I decided not to look at price or check brands, just pick the ones I liked best and suited my face best. I never did manage to choose the cheap ones!

I hesitate to repeat this but there is a chain of opticians in England where you have your eyes tested and then choose your prescription glasses. How much you then pay depends on the frames. The cheapest are £69. I paid a bit more for my chosen frames. But - and it's a good but - you get a second pair free. I chose prescriptionn sunglasses for my freebie.

Baz, different states have different rules/schemes for pensioners/health care card holders. In Victoria, you are eligible for subsidised glasses if you hold either. I have seen their frames! No thanks! I wouldn’t be caught dead in any of them, they’re horrible. I may not have money but I do have a sense of style and plastic fixed nose bits are not on my list. My current ones (I had to check the brand) have BVLGARI on the sides, these are my every day ones, the sunglasses are Prada. The sunglasses frame I really wanted couldn’t be used for prescriptions, the Prada ones were the closest to them. Very Sophia Loren. Tortoiseshell with a hint of blue! For everyday glasses, I wanted ones without a full frame as they are lighter. They have a decent crystal on the arms close to the frame.

I have worn Joy for many years, but the Joy from Jean Patou is no more having been taken over by LVMH. There is no substitute. Last time I bought a bottle, I was tempted to buy two as they were a good price, but decided no, I can always get one next time. Ha! If only I’d known. Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf is nice, but it’s not Joy……Sigh…

fresh squeezed orange juice is always worth making I always had orange juice in my school drink bottle when I went to school. Not until I was grown up did I realise just how much work mum did for me - she squeezed oranges every morning then poured the juice into my bottle. No water was added either.
