I find repetition with extended supine intervals works best.

The last few months I've barely run at all while at work, so then I try to make it up during my weeks at home. Then I was lazy/tired last week at home, and didn't run for a few days... so now I'm trying to make it up, and have run the last 4 days in a row. Including over 10 km yesterday and over 8 km today. Today's run was really slow, though.
It's going to be a challenge to get another 32 km in this month, as I am going to work Tuesday. Will just have to be organized and make myself run at least a few times.

Yesterday the Physio at the hospital gave me exercises for my foot and for the wrist where the large lump of me was taken to fill in the gap in my foot. The wrist exercises were v painful to begin with but less so now. Well done, Physio (and Baz).

I have done my wrist and hand exercises. I am supposed to do them 3 times a day but I have done them 3 times already. Will AA chastise me for overdoing it?

Walked more today than usual and my knee is doing okay.. urban hike with my walking group to a local estuary where there were all sorts of water fowl with their young and off in the distance a raccoon contemplating a meal

I never come to this thread because I rarely exercise and feel guilty because I know I should. Not sure why I am making my first post here now as I didn't complete my 20 laps of the pool today as I really wasn't feeling well. Normally I can do the swim when I feel like this but today, the water just didn't refresh me and I swam so slowly and only did three quarters. Last weekend I did 26 laps. I should have posted then!

Lumi, sometimes just writing about what one does is a bit of a reboot to motivation. I know that seems to work for me.

Lumi, sometimes just writing about what one does is a bit of a reboot to motivation. I know that seems to work for me. You may well be right. I did 26 laps today. I could have done more after a short break but the pool gets busy (too many kids playing in the swimming lanes) and I like to play in the pool with my son too before the shade disappears.

Since my fall over a week ago (where I got the black eye), I had to take it easy because of all the parts I banged up. Have managed to go for runs again since Saturday, but as I can still feel the various injured spots, I've not been pushing and just gone for 5-6 km each time, pretty slowly.
Also, I'd started doing push ups every morning in the summer and have had to take a break from them too (sore chest) but have managed to do them yesterday and again today. I still feel it in my chest, so am not dipping as deeply as normal, but hopefully it will feel better soon.

Managed some longer runs this week, and my chest is much, much better. I had planned to go for a run today but didn't. That's bad, but at least I went for a walk.

it was super ! we got great feedback - and on just Saturday ( dk the numbers for Friday - but fewer over 130 people came thru and that raised over $1500 ! definitely worth the effort ( which is large - getting the whole place spooked up - and lit enough for safety - but dark...) And this year Allison ( the organizer ) arranged for a 20 min break in the middle, and Sally brought hot chili -- wonderful - something hot in that huge unheated and getting colder by the minute place was wonderful ! I think I was the only one who was warm- I had to lie still and not move around - BUT - I had a little hot pad under my feel, and my little heater going under the bed... whew.

I decided to brave the elements and got out for a run today. It was about -22 or -24 C today, which is ok for running - but the weather report said there was a strong wind making it feel like -36C. It didn't look like the wind was that strong, so I gave it a shot - and it really wasn't bad out there. I ran for almost 40 minutes.
