Today, I shovelled snow. There was not much of it, but enough that it needed clearing. First time this season.

Lumi, where you are, I think that's about the only place I'd be walking as well.
Sunday mornings for us is tennis.

I am not sure where exercise stops and work begins.
If there is a sense that exercise is unnecessary effort, effort done for the sake of effort, or simply done for fun, to make one feel better about things, then I am not sure that I take any exercise at all.
That is not to say that I am inactive, rather that I am not sure how often I have the time or energy to do stuff just for the hell of it.
ETA:
In order to be consistent I would have to say that this and the above would qualify as exercise.

Slow, your post counts as more mental exercise than mine.

Mark, this time of year is a little cooler so a bit easier to walk outdoors. Realistically it is still hot and humid but when you live here you do notice the cooler difference on some days. That says, I'm trying to gain weight, not lose any, so I don't go for long walks like I used to.

Does exercising my patience count? If so I did 8 hours.

Ohh yes, an exercise of patience can be physically draining too so I reckon it totally counts for the purpose of this thread!

I hiked (with husband and dog) for over an hour, then I went for a swim (in a nice, warm, salt water pool) and did a kilometre. I came home, baked for a bit and then took the dog for another walk in the dog park in the rain and dark. I am tired!

You're all putting me to shame! I walked a couple of blocks to the mall then the supermarket with my son in the stroller today. Afterwards I felt like I'd done a 5 mile hike!

I swam laps this morning and feel great. Think I've only done that once since my boy was born. I only managed a little more than when I swam while pregnant so not super fit right now but a good start.

I didn't do any exercise at all today. But I did do housework!
I'll run 6 or 8 km tomorrow.

Today I ran 6 km but it's now been several days since I did any weights at the gym. So I think I'll do a few pushups and sit ups here at home.

Annie, I think standing on your feet for a whole shift in a shop is brutal. I hope you at least get to sit every now and then, even if only for a minute or two.

I cooked a bunch of stuff which isn't really exercise, but I was on my feet for a few hours.
And I do my physio exercises every day. They haven't been at all strenuous but got a couple more added this week that are slightly more demanding.

The top will stay nekkid until I get someone over who will stand on the ladder ! the trick is to get a small christmas tree ... ours is just a metre. we will put it on a small table after it is decorated, so it will look bigger ...

I let my fingers do the walking as I used the remote control to change the television stations.
