The muscles on to of my ribs feel bruised so I guess I really did work them when I did the Pilates. No idea if these are the correct muscles the workout was targeting though. I'd have expected it to be the stomach muscles but no pain there! You need to pay attention to your apps. You have to activate them. You can do most of the pilates excersises without your stomach muscles- But that's not the right way. Did you ever had an Pilates training with a coach? If not... Pilates isn't that easy as it looks. (for now make sure you activate your stomach muscles and make sure they stay flat and your lowe back down! Your straight ,from up - down muscles are most likely stronger but you want the horizontal ones to work) I did nothing. Just the moving around at work, but I just can't motivate my self to work out properly..... I keep trying.
I did try to activate the stomach muscles but guess I didn't do it very well. I have just done a few Pilates classes and yoga classes in the past so I don't know a lot. I find it hard/impossible to get my lower back flat on the floor when I lie down as it is curved wrong due to scholiosis. So I guess I have developed my poor postures and different muscle weaknesses/strengths due to my incorrectly shaped spine.

I hiked with my husband and dog, then did a kilometre on the pool. My cold is finally close to the end, as I have energy to do all I want.

We went for a walk in the snow.
Actually, we took Mr_S's new drone and had it out over the river when the message came up that the battery was too cold. Luckily we got the drone to come back before anything failed completely! THen we walked for a while.

Scrubb, you were lucky not to have lost it in the river under those cold conditions!

I exercised my fine motor muscles by precisely manipulating chopsticks to pick up delicious dim sum and deposit them in my mouth. My digestive muscles are now working hard as well.

we've started climbing the stairs rather than taking the elevator... it's 4 floors and we do it once to twice a day... can't hurt

I am also taking the stairs instead of the Elevator. And I think about exercising.. that's how far my exercise goes..

skipped climbing today, so no exercise (except the stairs, but as we don't have an elevator in our building it is not voluntarily, so it doesn't really count)

I'm feeling quite pleased today - I did my physiotherapy exercises in the morning at home, then we went to the gym where I exercised with weights for a 1/2 hour (I really needed another 15 minutes, but it was better than nothing). Then I ran for about 40 minutes. THen I went to a rowing class where I did a 2 km 'race' followed by a 1500m cooldown. And there's about a 1/2 hour of warming up first too, that probably covers another km at least.

Still in New York and walking a lot. Yesterday I was a bit lazier and started to use the subway (the -12C may have something to do with that) but I still walked about 12 000 steps.

I have been walking a lot while in NYC.. today I felt like a slackard because we took the subway quite a bit., and according to my friend ‘s counter, we still did 15000 steps. No wonder my feet are sore!

That's supposed to be a great zoo, lumi.
Yesterday and today all I did was my physio exercises. Tomorrow I might make more of an effort.
Oh, wait - today we also shoveled snow, twice! It snowed for hours and hours. Took 2 of us about 20 minutes each time.

I have been semi-good at work this week. I've run 5 nights out of the 6 that I've been here, but fairly short runs (4 or 5 kms). ANd I did my physiotherapy exercises (for my feet and knee) at lunch time. But I haven't done any weight training at all, which is lazy.

i did get a lot of exercise last week - lots of downhill skiing, also a few hours of cross country skiing, and i tried out a little bit of ski touring for the first time (though only on the normal ski run - and in the dark, apparently it is a tradition that people walk up with skis and have some food and then go down on their skis on wednesday evenings) ...

Have done nothing since Sunday. Should get up right now and do my physio exercises, but my cat is on my lap and I hate to disturb him. (Good excuse, huh?)
