If you cut tiger’s whiskers finely and mix them in with someone’s food, it’s a good way to get rid of them. Ancient Chinese poison method.

^ reminds me of New Guinea... I would sit in a chair to dry my almost waist length hair , and the bravest little boy would sneak up behind me and pull one hair out - which they would cut up and feed to the little girls to make them have hair like that - which they had never seen .

Happy 96th, Your Maj. How is it possible that your genes skipped some of your children and grandchildren? Baz, Her Maj is two years older than my Mum, and like my Mum, is a Lady. She was on the throne before I was born, and as a child I hated the old bat - remember, these are the words of a 7 year old child, because when you went to the pictures, they played God Save The Queen, and my mother made me stand up. I hated having to stand up because the old red leather seats would go Boing! and flip up and whack me on the back of my legs. Now that I am all growed* up, gradually with the passing of time, I have come to admire the old girl - we will never see her like again, she is very well respected around the world and is always dignified. Looking at the progeny after her, they don’t measure up to much. They’re about as useful as an ashtray on a motor bike. And Harry’s a disgrace. You only have to look at that Markle woman. I think Wallace Simpson had better manners! But there, now I’ve gone and gotten on my high horse again.

I read that Megan's father wants to come for her Maj's jubilee. Does he think he's been invited?

Korean history, Korea formerly called Joseon, studies were made to find a suitable system from the ancient texts to be adapted in Joseon’s royal concubinage system. In the Book of Rites and The Rites of Zhou, the son of Heaven (aka the Emperor)’s Empress (hu) is to have 6 palaces (gung), where there would be 3 wives (buin), 9 concubines (bin), 27 consorts (sebu), and 81 royal mistresses (eocheo).
That’s a lot of ladies for one man, it would take him four months to do the rounds - one lady per night - would he have been able to remember all their names? Then again, I suppose if you’re the King - these Kings were absolute rulers btw, it wouldn’t matter if you forgot names or not. Nobody’s going to say anything or tell you off!

Best to call them all Darling and then you don't use a wrong name. And what is the difference between a concubine, a consort and a mistress?

A consort is married to the King and is considered a wife, her children can be heirs. A King’s concubine is for sexual pleasure and to ensure there are heirs. Most concubines were from the finest families, their fathers were powerful men, they were from the yangban class. Any woman who worked in the palace was considers as belonging to the king and if he took a fancy to any of them, they were considered lucky, if a pregnancy resulted, they were considered very lucky particularly if they birthed a boy.
