aha -- the gist of the matter: "Hope you like your science gross and slimy as it’s time to dive into a major gastropod conundrum: do snails have teeth?
Answer: yes, And between 1,000 and 12,000 of them. However, snail teeth are very different from the pearly whites in your mouth.
“Most snail species have a tongue that’s similar to ours, except theirs is covered in rows and rows of tiny little teeth,” explains Dr Gordon Port, senior lecturer at Newcastle University.
and this about slugs..
SLUGS HAVE 27,000 TEETH Slug
There are around 30 different species of slug in the UK, which provide a food source for other predators such as birds, hedgehogs and even toads. Slugs have an important role in the ecosystem and are key composters which help to break down decomposing vegetation. However they are notorious for being able to chomp through garden plants and vegetables in a very short period of time. They do this using their teeth!
Slugs average approximately 27,000 ‘teeth’. They need so many teeth because instead of chewing their food, they have a ribbon-like flexible band of microscopic teeth called a radula. This acts like a circular saw — cutting through vegetation and eating it as they go. When their teeth wear out new rows of teeth move forward and replace them.

I also read that snails have green blood but I don't believe that. Blood is red. Though maybe if you have a vegan diet your blood turns green.

On November 17, 1989, nine days after the fall of the Berlin Wall roughly 200 miles to the north, students gather en masse in Prague, Czechoslovakia to protest the communist regime.

On this day in 1985 Windows was launched. To celebrate this event Windows has blocked my access. To get back in I have to put in my password. But my passport is stored on the computer that I can't access. Or I could use my fingerprint which I do normally whenever I open up - but Windows won't recognise it. After 10 minutes I somehow got in only to find all my tabs have been deleted. What a great birthday party Winows has thrown.

"tabs"? As in browser tabs? I know you can save the open tabs to be then opened when you switch your computer back on and open the same browser, but I never do. I start fresh every day, I don't particularly have a need to have some open from the day before and if it's important, I'll bookmark it anyway. I notice Chrome had been updated this morning. Also, my setting for the computer are such that it opens straight up with a password/fingerprint/facial thing or whatever. Not the securest option for sure, but it does me.

i very much depend on my tabs reopening. it's just got used to doing things that way, reopening the same session and starting the same things. i occasionally mark them all as bookmarks, so in case the tabs are deleted because of some issue or other, i can find them again ... but it is still annoying when that happens ... i used to have that problem a lot with chrome for a while and that is the reason i stopped using chrome ...

I have a number of things I check every day, like this forum, but never just leave the tab open when I move on to something else, plus there's very little I'd need to carry on doing on a particular page the next day. Even with research that I do for various things and that I may need to refer to again, I just make a folder and bookmark it in there as there have been times when my laptop/computer has decided to just play up or shut down and then I've lost everything if I didn't mark it. Then I delete the folder when I'm completely finished with those pages.
The other thing is, like with this forum, the tab doesn't update itself so opening a new tab from a bookmark gets me the latest page. I'm usually quite good at finishing what I'm doing and have time to do so because now I don't have the distractions of kids or going to work etc.
