Mrs Faz's cataract operation today went well. That's the right eye done; the left in a fortnight.

Get well soon, Mrs. Baz
At the museum where I volunteer, a teacher came up to me and asked "will you be doing our program today? You are the best of all the docents."

Today's rainfall should only be a fraction of yesterday's deluge! We might even see sunshine for the first time since Monday morning.

The good thing of my day was to transfer a friend's experience in a bad situation to another one which is going through the same one with her daughter (bulimia). Some days I wish I had a magical wand or a way to grant wishes.

I sowed sweetcorn today. Perhaps this is madness as we shan't even be here to enjoy it. But I like the idea of the new owners of our house having a flourishing vegetable garden (unlike when we arrived 5 years ago and the owners had stopped bothering and all we inherited were a few miserable Brussels sprouts infested with caterpillars).

made it through the flights fine and now am on amtrak, which is late as usual then they wonder why nobody rides them so they require massive subsidies and can't put anything into infrastructure so they're always late

Nothing more adorable than toddlers walking/lurching.
I ran to the gym today and even though I didn't run very fast, it felt good - I didn't have to stop and walk at all.

Rikita, that eel sounds intriguing! Who caught it, how was it prepared and was it good?
