The parrots were nesting in the palm trees (surely a sign of the end of winter) but the council has removed all the palm fronds and their nests.

I dunno - at home in Maine they had 12" day before yesterday and about that much again due tomorrow... I have no idea how many total feel that is so far, but it is LOTS - and I don't trust that groundhog's prediction at all !

Tonight there was still a bit of sunset left when I finished work - it wasn't completely dark when I walked back to camp!!! Woohoo!! We are on holidays soon, and when I come back it will be light when I get up, and light when I finish work. I CANNOT wait for that!

The stove is still lit but during the afternoon it is warmer outside than inside, so it is time to open the door onto the terrace and let the heat in.

I'll be in Spain at the end of this month and I hope it warms up a bit. The house has been closed up since last year and I expect it's pretty chilly inside.

Right now it is warm and dry Up North, rather too dry. Spring has begun and fields are already starting to turn brown.
I don't recall any significant rainfall during the last 12 months.
It is hot enough in the afternoon to let heat in from the terrace to warm the upper storey.

Looking at where we have just been staying in La Herradura I see the temperature is 20C and the sun is shining all day. It is a bit different in Chipping Sodbury but there are a lot of spring bulbs out in our garden.

Proper March weather here. one minute it's full spring with forsythias in bloom and the next it's snowing and you need to add a couple layers.
