Thanks for the vibes, guys - the woman I spoke to (who I think I'd be reporting to) seemed nice, but I made the mistake of asking who else would be on the panel and they seem like Big Wigs. Probably better to know, right?

Director of This and Manager of Global That. But then I'd be reporting to Assistant Director of This so I guess it makes sense that the Director would want to know who she's recruiting. I'll report back as to the eighties wigs.

Heh - at the meetings I went to in London last month I always feel like I'm punching WAY above my weight - everyone else there is "Global director of X" or "International manager of Y" or "VP of Z". And I'm just a lowly minion. While I was working in Paris (which was the case the first time I attended these meetings) at least I had Manager in my title, and was responsible for several sites in different parts of the world; but now I'm about a million positions lower than everyone else there.
Not sure why, but I don't feel intimidated.

Just go and flirt with every single one of them around the table. Honestly, it works. Hold eye contact, smile, flip your hair, men AND women. Subtle of course.
And remember you are interviewing them too, who says they are lucky enough to have you work for them??

A flock of white crowned sparrows is visiting today. Cute, cute little pear shaped birds. They have no necks.
