My flight is now arranged - I go to Istanbul on Monday for 2 weeks. Having done the main tourist things on a previous trip and relocating there in a month or so I plan to do alot of nothing (Mr lumi is there on a business trip and his company will fly me there so we can do our home search - so I don't even have to pay a cent for the trip!).

Too much of a contrast between managerial styles for one day. 'Tis making my head hurt.

I fly back home on Sunday and then fly back to Istanbul on Tuesday for about 4 days I think. I will have about 36 hours between flights!

Do you mean me, gobs? If so, I am coming back for my residency interview which was organised today. I could have stayed here until then (it is on Friday) but I just feel like going home after living in a hotel for the past 2 weeks. And mr lumi needs to fly back here Tuesday so I might as well come on the same flight as him.

Ok, then if it is a choice and not you have to go because of xyz then it is different sounds hellish

Well if I travel with mr lumi I get access to the lounge so much better than travelling alone. I am now booked to fly to Birmingham in the middle of June as well. If I'm not wrong it's close to the Peak District where we will be staying. Hopefully I can meet up with some of our UK potters while there

Namibia was beyond expectations in every way.
If anyone wants to look at photos, I'm slowing uploading them over at Photoblog.com.
Now I'm in the same boat as Scrubb--no trip planned which will cause me to get all itchy.

Orla, your pictures are amazing. If I didn't already have it on my radar, those pictures would do it for sure!

Yeah, I'm not on photoblog - are your privacy settings loose enough for me to see them anyway?

If you want a look at my Namibia pics they're at: www.photoblog.com/OweenaYou would have to register at Photoblog, but you can use a phony name and email and once you're in, my photos are open to all registered members. I've only posted about six days of the trip so far, about 10 more days still to post.

Wonderful pictures Orla, thanks. Well you have been to Etendeka, somewhere I never have, nor have I ever met Dennis Liebenberg. Did they mention that you were in Lion country? I has gobsmacked to see your line of vehicles queuing at Palmwag. Jeez the place used to be so peaceful. Well, will you go back some day? If you like Damaraland there is lots more of it.

I see the recycling bins are still around at Sesreim. Some NGO put them up and I wondered how long they'd be there for. Apple strudel at Moose's.......... oh yes... Only one day in Swakopmund? No quad biking, sandboarding.....? Good idea just to have a rest there though. How was the Landy (Cecil)?
I hate looking at photos of Namibia, makes me so much want to return. In fact I'm going to look at flight costs now...

Orla - just spoke to Mrs Mark and showed her some of the photos (she has also been) and she said for me to go back then. So I have permission..........

I'm, off in 5 days to spend five weeks roaming around Fiji, then it'll be Japan again for 5-6 weeks in the spring of 2014 and after that, the Inside Passage cruise later in 2014. Can't wait to see Fiji again (this will be the 15th visit).

We're off to Swissieland this week. We have a night en route in Satilieu then we shall be in Berne staying with HT. I know you're all jealous. Then it is to Neufchatel to stay with Ateach52 whom we know from Thorn Tree (and indeed a bit from TTR) days.
