It is what it is.
One particular family member says this and I find myself internally groaning, red smoke coming out of my eyeballs and nostrils and am about to explode! It pitheth me off mightily!

Come to think of it, I dislike the word “Seniors”. What the heck are seniors? In primary school the seniors were the grade six class, in secondary school, those who were seniors the previous year and now the “babies” - the lowest of the pecking order while the seniors are the form five and six girls. Or years 11 and 12 in todays parlance.
Now we have seniors to refer to older adults? By crikey all this name calling is just plain dumb. Whatever happened to youngsters, middle aged and old age?
A part of me wants to jump up on a soap box and recite the poem, “When I Am Old I Shall Wear Purple” - the other part of me doesn’t. Can’t remember it anyway!
As I tell people, I am not old, I am chronologically gifted!

"Hidden gem" in guide books and travel articles (though I don't object to Auntie Annie being called a hidden gem).

I have forgotten the phrase I was going to add.

sorry, Baz !! I'll be good...or at least try. and... the one I hate, I had mentioned to our director, she used it in a meeting the other day, caught herself and said "will call..." so if she can do it, I can at least try - it's very sloppy ...

Black Friday. This passed too swiftly so it has mutated to Black Friday Weekend The Victorian bushfires of 13 January 1939, were known as Black Friday and my dad told me you could see the smoke from Tasmania. He was in Burnie a port city on the north-west coast of Tasmania staying with his grandparents for the summer holidays and said they stood on the front verandah and watched the fires burning Victoria.
