Kind of reminds me of the so-called Merry Cemetery in Sapanta, Romania, which features colorful headstones with a bit of artwork and a personal poem relating to the life and death of the deceased. Often, this story was something gruesome about the departed drinking too much plum brandy and driving a tractor that overturned on top of him, or some little anecdote of that nature.

That's a great memorial - I love the bright colours. And what the hell, may as well let people know cause of death in poem form!
Here lies Scrubb She drowned in the tub. Glub, glub, glub.

heheh ^ ... several greats grandfathers ago, one who had made his money in the slave trade , came to a fitting end - he got drunk and drowned in the bathtub ! And he had to be some drunk to do that in one of those tin ones !

From Sapanta we could've walked to Ukraine in less than an hour. It was a charming town. By then I was used to livestock in city centers, but was still surprised to sit down for a beer in a saloon and discover I'd been followed by 3 or 4 chickens who pecked at nothing near my feet.

Issues
A note on the door of the newsagent round the corner said it was closed because of "staff issues". No. It was closed because of management issues. The shop was bought by a supermarket chain. The new management behaved so badly towards the staff that most left. So now there are not enough to run the shop. The note also said the shop would open at 2 pm. We want our paper to read at breakfast not after lunch.

I am sure someone has moaned about "No problem"
In the newsagent this morning... Baz: Thank you. Man behind the counter: No problem.

"No Problem" was in (frequent) use by this American when living in London in the early 1980s. It cracked me up when my cousin Peter, who was the Bishop of Ely, told me he recognized it as it came out of his mouth during a sermon - that it was very catching.....
