Today here right now, it is Sunday ~ the day after Boxing Day! It is the 27th day of December in the Year of Our Lord Anno Domini 2020. Ist Sunday where you are or ist still Saturday night? Or mebbe Sunday Morning? It is 8:52PM here although I suspect the time will be much later by the time this post is written and posted.
Ahh (sighs) the complaint of the two fingered typist. I think I need one of those dictaphone things only a technological one that connects to my iPad and automatically types what I say! How good would that be eh? Brilliant, absolutely brilliant!
Anyway what are you all doing today? Anything interesting? Going for a walk? A jog? Cooking a cake? Making whoopie? Me? As for yours truly, it was a case of stuffing my self silly with leftover Christmas đ pudding complete with lashings of runny cream (whipped cream should never be served with Christmas Pudding! As Mrs Kate Bridges would say, â Thatâs the procurement of the lower ordersâ!
I bought myself a Crabtree and Evelyn 12-piece boxed set of hand therapy tubes for AUD$105, which is not bad as it works out to $8.75 a tube. Theyâre only 25grams but the brand isnât cheap and they arenât available out here. They used to be but Crabtree & Evelyn stores were closed world wide some time ago and now, they are only sold in America assail.
Anyway, I am pleased with my purchase. If you purchase smaller quantities, they cost an arm and a leg!
So..... what are you lot all doing today or tomorrowâs today?

So, at the moment it is almost noon on Sunday and I've already done the laundry (waiting for the last batch to have gone through the cycle), made a spiced cream of carrot that's almost pureed carrots with carrots that needed cooking, so there's a portion in the freezer and one in my fridge for tonight. I need to get dressed properly to have lunch with my parents. I intend to tidy up a bit some more this afternoon, to deal with a few admin matters and to rest!

9am - just finished beakfast. lovely sunny day so will spend some time outside ( probably walking the bags of recycling up to the shed ) and chores... laundry. putting away Christmas pressies, general tidying. Reading. maybe start my new project for the "doll house" - but probably not, as that takes the dining room table ( in winter when it's too cold to use the workroom over the garage) and I've got friends coming for supper on Tuesday.

Still drinking my coffee, not sure what today will bring other than a dog hike somewhere this morning. Thinking about making French toast with left over panettone. There are no other leftovers; a bonus from not hosting any meals over the holidays.

We had 2 walks today. It was a sunny day (despite the forecast) and we walked out along the Little Sodbury road (there are a lot of Sodburies round here). It had rained heavily overnight abd the fields had big pools of water. In the afternoon we went first to empty the litter bins in the town carpark and then on to where the little Frome River had overflowed one of the parks. Dogs were having fun.

Today will be putting away anything ( other than decorations ) from Christmas in the living room, general cleaning, etc - and then making a chicken and vegetable pie , ad friends coming to supper. I may try and get Rick to take the tree outside... it's starting to shed a little.

A litter-picking walk this morning (I forgot to say that yesterday we picked up ÂŁ5 in coins in a carpark). After lunch friends called at the door with two loaves of bread from the baker. The baker closes in the afternoon so he is just getting rid of unsold bread. Another walk in the sleet this time.

Today was laundry day, and clean the shower drain day.
I let a tomato sauce to slowly simmer and ate it with spaghetti for dinner.
I sorted some long standing admin issues.

I have to be out of the house in about 10 minutes (to let the cleaner in. My indulgence is a once a fortnight 2 hours time for a cleaner who does the heavy stuff I struggle to fit in when working such long stupid hours) so going to have coffee with one of my ex work mates who is a personal favourite, then maybe a short trip into town for a little more indulgence with a massage.

We'll go for a walk plus litter picking. Oh joy! Then I'll do the Waitrose shop while Mrs Faz returns home to do battle with her computer. She is installing Bitwarden and it is a real pain. Her grandson who is in cybersecurity says she has been hacked so it is a priority.

Having a mini blitz. While I love my family I don't need 20 framed photos on display and most have gone into a drawer leaving the current one or my favourite out. Now removing the photos to keep and the frames can go to the op shop.

My wonderful handyman came over and carried my tree outside. We have set it right outside the french doors of the dining room, where I can see it as I sit here at the computer. And, during this day of constant light snow, it has proven to be what I hoped: a snack bar for the critters. First customer was a squirrel, who started nibbling on one of the birdseed ones. Came back more than once. Then, the cheeky bastard, just yanked it off the tree and took it away with him !

Continued my mini blitz and got no further than one drawer in my bedside cabinet when I got a better offer and went out for lunch. Need to get motivated though as I'm back at work on Monday and have been very slothful this year despite a lot of time home in lockdown.

found to purchase things I'd been half looking for for a while. one a (synthetic) feather duster and the other a set of kitchen scales. The latter is precise to the gram. yippie! Also found the kind of hoover I wanted on sale and bought it. it should be delivered by post tomorrow. (went to the shop but it's heavy and cumbersome on public transport)

Once again I am glad I am Australian! I thank Le bon Dieu I am not an American! The British are a bit conservative, the Americans are too brash, but us Australians, well weâre somewhere in the middle! Lotsa trouble đż across the Atlantic!

Went to visit my neice with the baby that gave us such concern. Delighted to share that he now rolls everywhere and his wide smile and chuckle says ' If you think I'm into mischief now, just you wait until I get this crawling business sorted'

I'll tell you what I am doing right now: I am sitting and waiting to have a telephone conversation with a doctor about my erratic blood pressure. She is going to ring sometime between 8.30 and 12 noon. So I can't leave the house. Nor can Mrs Faz because it takes two of us to understand what she is saying.
Stop press: As I was writing the above^^^ the doctor telephoned. I immediately called Mrs Faz and we listened together to what she was saying. Basically it was that I should have a blood test and ECG and that she will arrange for this to be done today.
The doctor's name is Hliang. I googled this and it is a Burmese name. Burma was a British colony. We were in Myanmar last year and I was surprised at the poor level of spoken English because it is the international language of travellers (if an Italian man wants to chat up a Japanese woman he has met in Thailand he will use English). Normally I am good at understanding the English spoken by foreigners. It is just Dr Hliang I cannot understand. I need to have Mrs Faz by my side as the interpreter.

^ a little will depend on her age group as for so long they were isolated from the rest of the world and use of English was frowned upon.
Recyling bottle day here and listening to the empties from both Christmas and New Year go down the shute into the truck. They are 3 days behind their normal schedule and looking down the street at the overflowing blue bins makes me think we are turning into a country of alcoholics. (Mine has a few more than usual also>
