I rarely post anything about myself in text let alone picture.
I did actually try and look at my 'year' but nothing loaded. Probably because I didn't put any pix up myself!

'My' year had a picture of the German national soccer team in it. Had a good laugh about that.

oh someone i know announced she does eft "How can tapping on points on my body stop me from, say, eating an extra piece of cake or shaking uncontrollably when I have to speak in public? How can it give me greater confidence in dating or in business? Sounds unlikely, no? And yet, that’s precisely what it can do. Think of EFT as emotional acupuncture without the needles. EFT is a modern application of this healing system"

I am so tired of the constant, meaningless fb posts from some of my friends. Fair enough if it's now and then but multiple rubbish posts every single day is too much. There should be a setting that you can choose that will allow only one post per day, per person or something. I don't want to block these people from my wall but I am tired of seeing the same self-promoting status or multiple pictures of a cup of coffee (like I don't have one every day too!). Rant over!

At least your photo is a bit different, Mark. I often see photos of a plain old Starbucks without foam art. I even see people post photos of food they cooked and it so often looks like a disgusting load of puke which makes me wonder why they thought it was so great that they should post it for everyone to see.

Formerly pregnant acquaintance now breastfeeding. Closeup of baby attached to nipple of course is mandatory. Apparently someone got offended by the sans clothing pics and reported her to fb. No, definitely wasn't me.

I like a setting on fb that make me keep being 'friends' with that kind of people without having their posts flag up on my page. bliss. And I'm sure some of my friends use the same privilege so as not to see my posts on their page.

that is easy annie, just unfollow the people. I did that. Now i only see their stuff when I go on their page or if they are on a list, I see that stuff when I am looking in the list. (I have my fb-friends kinda sorted in lists)

Coffee, Tea or Bonox?Sorry Lumi, I couldn't resist. The devil made me do it! P.S. I take photos of food and drinks but don't put them on faceplant.

Ha! Like those ones Netsuke but at least I've never seen them unlike the umpteen dozen Starbucks mugs people seem to think the world wants to see. I did think about spending a day posting lame photos and status updates repeatedly in protest but it seemed counterproductive

Yep! And if you really want that coffee or pasta or whatever other consumable you're supposedly going to devour, do it already. Don't waste time snapping photos and uploading them to facebook while your coffee goes cold.

I could embrace FB had I family, nieces, grandchildren, folks who have moved away that I would love to see pictures of but, I drew the line when it came to FB, despite some pressure from folks I know to please join on in. I'm a fairly private person, and, not having a real need to be part of this network was my choice from the "get go",and, as a result, have missed out on likely a fair amount of correspondences etc. that I would have liked to have been privy to. My opinion on this dates back to Hurricane Katrina, and, the number of people who wanted information as to my husband and I's well being whereabouts etc. Anyone that knew me well enough were able to find me and or my husband so, at that point in time I felt reassured that I didn't need to be on FB or other major social network outlets to find us. I didn't even have a mobile phone at that point in time but, the people in my life who really wanted and or cared about my well being were savvy enough to find me, many of whom I had not been in contact with for umpteen years.

Ooops of the day-forgetting one of your older relatives is FB friends with you. Meaning they see everything you post...and of course discuss it with your parents. Had a funny aha moment about this today.

I I get to find out about family baby showers and birthdays that I wasn't invited to, sometimes it's hard being the black sheep.

Things to dislike about social media #345: People on fb who overpost and you duly 'like' their posts. But they never like any of your posts. Ever.
