So you are agreeing with the English System - "12 Good Men and True" rather than some Judge and 2 Helpers?

I have always loved the jury system....small aside where I am living at the moment the house mate had no idea about young Oscar ....very hard to explain it to person who doesn't do news.

Depends where you are living I suppose..
If you are living in Quatar with a eff Head as House Mate then it is very possible they haven't heard of the Trial...
The Jury system is the only way to go on such important matters - Hence South Africa is still a Third World Country....

Just so we can all sleep at night!
From The Torygraph:-
"The murder trial of fallen South African Olympian Oscar Pistorius resumes on Thursday for closing arguments after months of gripping testimony that captured the world's attention. It will be a final showdown between two of the country's top legal minds: defence lawyer Barry Roux, and senior state prosecutor Gerrie Nel, nicknamed "Bulldog" because of his brutal style of questioning. The hearing is set down for two days before Judge Thokozile Masipa, who is then expected to adjourn the case for a couple of weeks before delivering her verdict. South Africa does not have trial by jury."
Soooo much pressure on the sole Laydee Judge and her two 'Helpers'.... In fact, i'll go as far as it's TOO much pressure for one Person to decide such a case and it should be decided by '10 good Men and True'...

So it looks like M'Laydeeee will To55 a coin tomorrow and spend a month writing up her reasons why it came down Tails...

Yeah - round about a month since M'Lady called a halt to the Trial and she needs a Month to work it out.
Can you tell me why it takes a Month for the silly old bag to come to a conclusion?
I'm expecting at least a book the size of War and Peace when she finally returns from her holidays and delivers her verdict...
Probably be written down on the back of a fag packet knowing the Saffer Legal system...

Oh do just eff off Grecian
If it irritates you so much please just stop following the case.
Have you considered she has OTHER work to do as well, other court cases to preside over, other rulings to make?
You are really fucking me off in a big way, and I am particularly grumpy at the moment.
Look at the bullshit and crap in your own country before you start ripping off mine
Thank you, To55er Fucker wanker nut

Hurrah! I knew if I cacked on enough i'd flush you out!
Thank you, To55er Fucker wanker nut. I've been called worse, as you know, but that was a cracking effort!
Murder Trials in England end with the Jury going out to think about the case and then when they deliver their verdict that is it! Guilty or not Guilty! The judge then tends to give his/her Sentence the next day unless they ask for Probation Reports which wouldn't happen in a Murder case...
Apart from the facile "she has OTHER work to do as well, other court cases to preside over, other rulings to make" can you really explain to me what has taken a Month+ to work out?
Last I heard, when you were 'involved' in a particular Case then that was all you presided on until its conclusion...
I'll lend her a pencil sharpener if she keeps breaking her nib!

To55er, can you not read? I did not ask how the system works in your country, I suggested you focus on the problems in your country and leave my country alone. You really have become a bitter tosspot over the years. Go into your little fucking hidey hole and stay there please.
p.s. is there an option to block a poster on this forum because this wanker is not worth my energy

It's called "Just stop posting on his OPs"?
But this is a Thread that has gone to 171 replies on The Oscar Pistorus Murder Trial so I would assume that you could at least reply as regarding that specific Court Case so I didn't "focus on the problems in your country and leave my country alone" at all as this wasn't about the legal system in England..
You haven't answered any of my questions as put so I will still assume that the Legal system in South Africa is very Third World and almost a Kangaroo Court...
(So M'Laaaydee and 2 'Helpers' decide the fate of an individual accused of Murder when all the evidence is down to 'Opinion'??..)
You really should watch 12 Angry Men to see how a Jury System works - Here you go so no excuses now...The full film follows..

Must be close now!
Surely if M'Laydee makes up her silly old mind in a couple of weeks and doesn't need the whole month then she would call the whole Court in?

I'm glad you're not my Defence Lawyer, Hedon!
But Guilty of what?
Murder or Manslaughter or a total Cock Up as he thought it really was a Robber in the Bog?
If Oscar meant to kill her - Murder - then that is Life..
If Manslaughter - He killed her but didn't mean it - then that's 15 years; Tops...
I have a horrible feeling that he'll be let off a tad and will serve maybe 3 years Tops as he thought it was a Robber in his Shitter.
Whatever happens, it doesn't put the Saffer Legal system in a good International light.

I thought that today was when M'Lady finally woke up and delivered her verdict?
On a slightly related topic, I see that the Wife Killer, Shrien Dewani, is, finally, going to stand Trial on 6th October at the Western Cape High Court
Even though it is clear that he arranged the Murder of his recent Wife, I dare say that this Trial will be dragged out for at least a couple of years.

Dewani's Guilty as eff and he's tried all the tricks in the book so far to resist extradition...
Thank eff the Cold, Calculated Murderer is finally in Saffer Land and will stand Trial...
So...Oscar's been found Not Guilty of Murder? Furry Muff...
Can still be found Guilty of Common-law murder - Minimum of 15 years up to 20 years, at judge's discretion or
Culpable homicide (manslaughter)- Maximum of 15 years, possibly between seven and 10 years.
There's a couple of other minor ones like Discharging a firearm in public or Illegal possession of ammunition which they could Tab on or just go with as that is all M'Lady thinks that he is Guilty of...
I'll go that he gets found Guilty of Culpable homicide and will be given 7 Years - out in 4...
Shame really as he is a nasty knut when he has a Firearm in his hands...
