Lake Worth 18:30 21 clear and breezy You made me work to figure that out, Voy. I was wondering how it could be sooo cold in Florida. Googled Lake Worth, then Weatherunderground. You were talking centigrade. Now I'm envious.

It's only -29C right now (5:49 pm) but I have to say that it's going down to -39c overnight tonight. I don't think I'll be running outside tongiht!
I'm in the middle of nowhere, about 800 kms north of Saskatoon. I guess Points North Landing is the closest "place", or maybe Wollaston Lake (that's a town, sort of).

Here it's +4C, with renewed rain falling. I think (hope!) the sun will shine again on Thursday. The last time the sun shone here was Saturday afternoon.

No it was lovely mild 5 degrees when we arrived in Zurich, it felt really refreshing after the 38 degrees we had in Aus, not cold at all, but it's changed now unfortunately...

It was a little colder today. -37C when I got to work this morning, but only -33C when I walked back to camp after work at 7:00pm.
Of course it's quite warmish at home right now, just -10C. But it's getting colder there when I leave here, so I'll have -20 all weekend too.

Update on above. The mercury hit 45.7 degrees Celsius at Observatory Hill at 2.54pm, 0.4 above Sydney's previous hottest day in 1939. Sydney Airport recorded 46.4C at 2.32pm. Across greater Sydney, the hottest temperatures recorded so far have been at Penrith (46.5C at 2.16pm), Camden (46.1C at 1.57pm) and Richmond (46.0C at 1.55pm).
Thank god for airconditioning.

Scrubb, how warm is it inside your house ? We keep our house at 14C when we are in bed, and during the day when we're not in the house; we keep it at 18C when we're at home. Or if we start to feel chilly we turn it up to 19C or sometimes even 20C. Where I am at work I like my room quite cool - had it around 14, except I don't have enough blankets and too cold to sleep well, so I've turned it up to around 17C.

Porto Portugal and 'p...ing" down is the only way to describe it. Been nice until today. Trouble is I am with someone who invited themselves on holiday (long story about a terminally ill friend) and after cancelling our day trip tomorrow she wants to do alsorts of things. Now she can't walk uphill, can't climb steps and doesn't like getting wet!!. mmmm could be a long day and a great need for ' p' pills. Not that sort - the patience sort.

Hi Kuskiwi, hope you have been enjoying Portugal in spite of the rain. I have lived here for over 35 years and spend a lot of time in Lisbon but live in the Algarve. But I also know Porto well. If you need any info just PM me, happy to help.

Most people keep their house at about 20C - 22C - we just are a bit cold blooded, I guess. Offices and public places are around 20C too I think.
