I've not been feeling so wonderful for a few days now.
Today I spent in bed. Except for walking the dogs, feeding the sheep, watering the garden, picking vegetables, transporting tap water to the garden, washing the car, ...
I guess I really must be wicked.

I noticed you hadn't been round. I hope you are on the mend. I think you must be, given what you have done today.

Depending on where the customer lives (in the mountains or in towns at the bottom of the valley) they want different seasons for their clothing. Some want autumn outfits, some ask when we will let them purchase our warmest winter jackets. And then you have the old hippies who migrate to Asia for the winter months who demand our summer clothes be reduced to a price they are willing to pay. It is the season when you see people wearing summer clothes beside people wearing winter clothes.

Around this time of the year there is some heavy work that needs to done in the garden that is only possible between the end of the scorching mind destroying heat and the start of the rains.
The the heat abated Tuesday night and the rain is due in 50 minutes. I guess either it won't get finished, I'll get wet, or more likely both. The big thing is that I am about 3/4 of the way through digging the muck out of the bottom of the well, and that on a very accelerated programme.

OK, OK, Anyway I expect you will be please to know that I have finally succumbed to using a ladder to get in and out of the well rather than the climbing aids embedded in its walls.
There really are a lot of crayfish in the well, or there were before they were relocated. Bright red, disproportionately huge claws, but at this time of year lacking antlers.

Well... the ladder is a start. are you wearing proper shoes that are not likely to slip on the ladder? and are you paying attention to what you do to avoid any issue?
Interesting about the crayfish. have you had any there in previous years and where do you relocate them? I gather you wouldn't eat them.

When you're in physical pain, you cry. But if your heart is aching, you whimper like a dog when you sleep.
