It has had a charmed life.... but the final can of tartiflette sauce is being done tonight! I have bought particularly nice pamcetta and many huge slices of compte and gruyerre for the topping. Everything else is at hand for an artery busting Swiss delight!!!

Local baby squid BBQ'd with some garlic, soya sauce, fresh corriander, lime and chilli. Home-made oven pototo chips (because I can make them low fat that way) and I'll pick some cos lettuce to make some kind of salad.

We were going to have roast lamb tonight but Mrs Faz got sudden stomach upset at bedtime yesterday so we'll be having something easy to digest, fish I think. I expect she'll be up for the strawberries I bought at the market this morning.

the dinner went well..and at the last minute I added a hefty sprinkly of ground ginger to the top of the pork roast ( with garlic, salt and pepper) - if I say so - this is a GOOD thing!

A turkey leg, took off the bone and roast while making a sauce from the bone. Pan roast potatoes in olive oil and 3 veg.

Mrs Faz has been a bit poorly but went to a rehearsal of her choir this afternoon and recovered. So we had a mixed seafood salad (you know, line caught mussels, morning dew fresh prawns, extra virgin squid); roast lamb and potatoes with some of the cauliflower; fruit salad of strawberries, kiwi and muscat grapes. This is the same fruit salad as we have had for the last 6 weeks but the strawberry season must soon come to an end.

I have just put a great looking rib-roast joint in to the oven for dinner. Roast potato and some cauliflour cheese will be the sideshow. The joint is 2.7kg!!! Enough for sandwiches tomorrow.

I'm in the mood for some curry. I have a nice easy and quick recipe at home but required mint leaves. Couldn't get any so i'll just use coriander. Mint really gives this one a nice flavour though. I think i'll make it nice and hot as well.

I am going to make a lenti-rice salad with a dressing made from garlic, lemon and olive oil. Should be tasty. I have a new Sauvignon Blanc chilling in the fridge to go with it - Sendero de Chile from Concha y Toro. We tried the carmenère the other day and it was wonderful, so I hope this one is as good.

In a throwback to the good old Friday nights two years ago on LPTT...Dinner tonight was a bottle of really nice Chilean red, a big pack of Nando's peri peri chicken crisps, half a bottle of Glenmorangie and some very nice vintage cheddar cheese. I fully expect to regret it in the morning. Right now I love you all. Every last one of you.
