Today, my sister roasted a chicken and potatoes and prepped a lamb's lettuce salad. it was nice and simple.

I made myself one of my childhood favorites: Polish style lazy perogies. Just pressed cottage cheese, an egg, a bit of flour, and a bit of salt. Mix well, roll out and cut then drop into boiling water for a few minutes. Heavenly!

My brother in law cooked "poule au pot" with a supreme sauce, rice (he cooked risotto rice in the chicken broth) with plenty vegetables that were cooked together with the chicken in its broth. Very nice.

Since I was invited for Sunday lunch upstairs, I cooked today what I had planned for yesterday: coriander chicken. or a version of it. I should have browned the chicken pieces better before adding them to the curry, but otherwise, I was happy with this recipe.

We have friends coming for lunch today. I made a large pot of soup (an Italian country style soup with farro and Parmesan and lots of veggies), fresh sourdough buns (I will be starting to make them shortly) and a fruit crisp with honey yogurt. Yesterday I made sourdough crackers as an experiment and they will be on the table as well.

so, today's lunch was chicken tandoori (with some chutney, but it was not necessary as the chicken was tender and juicy), basmati rice, leaf salad and fennel salad.

Today's lunch was vegetarian cauliflower masala with red lentils and dhosa & chutney on the side. It's the second time I made dhosa and this time I was really pleased with how the fermented batter turned out. Even better because I doubled the recipe and was able to freeze a big portion.

we had cod fillets (should have taken the supreme or another fish) with cauliflower (steamed then added to butter and breadcrumbs so the florets were lightly covered in breadcrumbs) and potatoes.
