To hover below just seems odd. To hover above is common usage. I will endeavour to hover below in future.

Odd thing that happened yesterday.
Here it is not an unusual occurrence, just one we could do without.
So there is a knock at the front door.
It is a delivery of eight sardines.

Yep,
But me no ichthyophage.
More to the point only the Beagle will eat sardines. When he's gone what will we do?

We have a friend who dreads the arrival of the hay fever season. Alas, he is overweight and if he got down on the floor he wouldn't be able to get up without assistance.

This is not seen but heard. Noise is drifting upstairs of something Mrs Faz has found. It sounds like Amazing Grace sung by a cat.

The name of a downtown LA restaurant: “la poubelle “ which means “the dustbin/trashcan”. Why would anyone want to eat there?

had an odd encounter the other day: just had brought a. downstairs as her dad was waiting there to take her to his place for the weekend, when our neighbour's son approached with a woman who from far away looked like his mom, but closer up wasn't her, but could have been her sister or her mother (age wise she looked somewhere in between), so clearly a relative. anyway, as we let the little boy unlock the door, she asked me "is the girl leaving now?" and i said "you mean my daughter? yeah, she is going to her dad" and she asked more questions - how long she'll stay there, how often she goes there, if it isn't difficult for me, how old she is, etc. - the odd part was the way she asked, like one question after the other, where i kind of thought what business is it to her, but at the same time did not want to seem rude, if she is my neighbour's mom ...

The Pot is looking smaller!
It is not just my eyes, it is being rendered on my screen in a smaller font. Approximately 6 point I know how to make it bigger (CTRL +) if I want but why has it shrunk so. Other websites have stayed the same.
Ho Hum!

The Eurovision Song Contest looms. It is beyond parody (including the fact that Australia crept in one year). I haven't heard any of the songs but Croatia's entry seems pretty strong:
it blends elements of rock and techno to tell the story of a farm boy saying goodbye to his milking stool and setting out for the big city.
According to singer Marko Purišić, the lyrics are a reference to the brain drain that’s affecting Croatia’s economy.
Heavy stuff.

Tzarine, ABBA's Waterloo is but a distant memory. This is Britain's entry:
Olly Alexander is trapped in a post-apocalyptic boxing gym, aboard a spaceship hurtling towards earth in 1985.
A “goth gremlin goblin witch” is holding a candlelit séance and summoning the spirit of a minotaur.
Nemo (the singer, not the fish) has skinned a muppet and is cavorting around in its skin, while singing Mozart’s Queen Of The Night.
I hope the skinned muppet s not the Swedish chef.
