I finally got a belated birthday card into the mail today. And I had a good workout at the gym, including a decent run.

Cut the stars for the flag this morning, although the positive was balanced by the negative being that the haberdashery wasn't open, despite their website listing opening hours for public holidays and they be Muslim too.
I hope they open tomorrow, but I'm not sure they will as we have an ultra marathon running down the main road tomorrow morning.

Yesterday, in an absolutely unexpected moment my wife told me that she was so happy to marry me... for the first time in our 4,5 years of marriage. it was good to hear, I saw it in her eyes. phew... looking forward to the next one before our 10th year.

I remember telling her years back during a discussion, may be you hate me right now I am telling those to you...but years ahead, you will remember, and love it why I am that god damn rock realistic.

complex story, but we created a new Memorial Trophy for Best Sportsmanship for kid polo , in memory of my friend Nelly - and yesterday I presented it for the first time, to a really great kid. And today will do the same - for, I am assuming, an equally great kid. ( twice as it's for two age groups.)

I just performed my "mitzvah" or good deed for the year. Took the cakes to this friend's. She is the widow of my pediatrician.. she is going to be 93 or 94 and is in her last stage...very ill but still perky. It was fantastic to make her smile when she saw the cakes, I know she will not eat them, but she is like me a chocolatarian and just the view of those "food-porn"cakes was worth. Her family will enjoy going to visit her at least just to eat the cakes! I wish we had had more time to talk, her son was there and he needed to ask me some work questions, I just wanted to talk to her, treasure the memories, but at least I know she was happy.

I cut the willow hedge and it looks much better. In a fortnight's time it will look as if it needs another cut.

I'm really trying hard to think of something positive today, and the only stuff I can come up with is "at least I'm not sick" or "at least the cat seems to be ok after having his tooth pulled a few days ago". Being not negative really isn't the same as being positive, is it?
Here: I'm wearing the green sweater I got for Christmas and even though it wasn't what I wanted/needed, and it's not as comfortable as it could be, I do love the colour.

My positive for today is that I don't have a migraine - I had one yesterday and was worried I'd still have it today when I needed to take an exam.
My other positive is that the exam is now over so I now have one less thing to study for.
