Yesterday I noticed that the ducks were racing around the yard like mad things. Every once and a while they would actually leave the ground for a short, low flight. Wow!!; I thought; those little buggers sure are having fun. This morning they had mastered the flight thing and were flying much higher and longer. Bottom line, I googled how to clip their wings. Poor things are now sitting huddled under the lime tree, bitching to each other about the unfairness of flightlessness (is that a word??)

As an aside, when I saw the title to this thread for a second I thought it had to do with a certain poster... but luckily no quack off, missie!

lol no poor duckies about it, I took a much bigger beating. How to clip a ducks wings: First, corner the little shit and make several wild grabs ending up on your tush. Than having duck securely under one arm realise you need help. Release duck and go looking for Mr. C. While you're at it put peroxide on the long scratches on both arms. Repeat step one. This time put a towel over the ducks head so he calms. Now have Mr. C pass the nippers and gently open the wing and inspect to see if it looks anything like the drawing on the internet. Clip just the feathers back of the two front ones so the duck dosen't look silly. Change arms, scream when duck get a final claw into the tender flesh of the inner arm. Swear. Finish second wing and drop struggling duck. Repeat with second duck, Go for a beer

You forgot the last step:

Did it work?
