Salads are many and various. There are salads that are a whole meal or at least a course (I am thinking of salade nicoise). Other salads are very plain - maybe just a lettuce salad to go with a steak and chips.
Tonight we had a salad to go with our main course. Everything came from our garden: beet leaves, rocket (arugula), tomato, mint leaves. The dressing was olive oil and pomegranate molasses.
And you?

We have salads with our supper almost daily, with as many ingredients out of our garden as possible. Tonight’s salad has arugula, lettuce, chives, cucumbers, tomatoes and basil from our garden. The maple salad dressing, avocado and kiwi are not.

Haha it reminds me of the reaction of one coworker when I was in England. It was lunchtime and I was eating at my desk when he approached me. He asked me what I was eating and I said salad as everyday and he started to rant about how salad is boring as in cucumber lettuce and tomato... blabla... and then he looks at my dish and says ... oh but that is not a boring salad,is it? Noticing the ham cheese and other exotic elements to it.
