As an American, living abroad, I am absolutely baffled that Americans in the US are arguing over * insurance * to have healthcare...
WTF (all caps exclamation)
--WHY can´t they just have healthcare. WHAT THE eff is with the *insurance to have health care *. Just. have. healthcare. Period.
Healthcare. WHY is that rocket science. Healthcare. Period. Having insurance to have healthcare, is bullshit. Just. have healthcare. repeat mantra.
I can´t imagine having to go back to the US system* after having lived with Sweden, UK, Norway etc system for so long now. (*yes, I know there are worse systems)

But the Americans don't want to pay for it through their increased Taxes!!
God Bless you, Aneurin Bevan, and the National Health Service Act of 1946.

But, as I noted before on similar threads (maybe on the Stew?), Americans, overall if you include all taxes they already pay from state to local to sales to gas taxes..., already pay nearly or almost nearly the same amount of taxes as countries that have national health care. * But, they´re rather either not have health care for everyone, or rather everyone additionally to taxes, rather pay for insurance to have health care. If you combine total taxes, with the cost of paying for insurance to have health care, they are paying more than countries with health care pay for taxes. Frustrating that not enough Americans see that. * one study www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2012/09/19/heres-why-the-47-percent-argument-is-an-abuse-of-tax-data/---- yes, Aneurin Bevan and other like-minded. Michael Moore´s health care documentary Sicko....the part where he´s trying to explain the NHS...and realises the cashier is there to give refunds, not take money, is priceless. As is the section where he´s discussing French health care benefits, differences. Bizarre anyone would think all this is bad for one´s country/citizens.
