For Natash a, for your * interest * in my FB update, since I unfriended you:
The articles showed research how women, those who have addictive personalities anyway, use FB, for instance 30% more than men, including in more emotional ways, and how this unfortunately gives them time to then be even more critical (than they already are) of their body , themselves, their life when they choose to use FB as a yardstick comparing their life to others, friending exs (which women apparently do more than men), seeing only perfect lives/bodies which they feel they can´t live up to. Other articles showed how some young adults versus kids use internet, cell phones, social media; to call out sluts, ruin reputations, etc, such as in the Swedish case. Other articles discussed bullying cases, both self-induced for attention, and actual bullying cases, both where young adults ended their lives by suicide. Random off or on topic slightly.
I regularly clean up my mac: after yes every session, delete cache, delete cookies, and secure empty trash. Ie there is no history to link from, which is why no I did not have links.
Having afterwards seen what you thought I was talking about, I can certainly see why you immediately thought I was speaking of them. I was not.
Since yes the articles are interesting, as I´ve time, I will use this post to add links, or links I newly find that are similar.
It is an interesting topic, and when one has kids, as parents, we need to be more involved, and aware of how the internet, cell phones (which are used both here immediately within this country lots, plus we all have obvious access to anyone else via the internet, ie to anyone anywhere) is evolving in useage. Having 4 children, both very young and a young adult, I try to keep up with these things on a regular basis, and it is a topic of discussion amongst my friends with kids; with my children as I want to be very open with them if something does ever happen I want them to be able to talk about anything. As a parent, I do not want my kids to use the internet in ways which could hurt them, or others. The fairly recent Swedish case, happening in such an open, friendly society as per my experience living there, shows such things can happen anywhere, anyone under the right conditions. Imho a topic generally aware of at any given point, discussed often amongst various groups both on and offline. Maybe as you´ve only littles, the topic is not as relevant yet.
*I can´t remember your handle sorry *.
