It must feel like a slap when there is no acknowledgement of the success your contributions. Not a sign of a well organized site.

You may have read about the panic buying of petrol in Britain. This began when our hopeless prime minister said there was no need to panic. This of course was interpreted as Panic! Panic! We saw massive queues on Sunday but fortunately passed a filling station with only 5 cars waiting. We need a full tank to go to hospital (for me) today and for Mrs Faz to visit her daughter next week. Six doors down from us lives a long distance lorry driver. I saw him walking his labradors yesterday morning and remarked I thought he would be on the road. He blinked a bit and said he had only got home at 4 in the morning. I said I had read in the paper that some fuel tanker delivery drivers were followed by cars to find out where they were delivering. He said the next thing I'd read in the paper was that a fuel tanker had been hijacked. I haven't read all the paper yet this morning. And so it has come to pass: Fuel thieves steal 30,000 litres of diesel from truck stop in £45,000 raid in dead of night

My daughter's cat is named after the French author Colette. Now the human Colette was in general slim. The feline Colette has left slimness behind and is now fat. She touches the sides of the cat flap. Normally cats do not overeat but this one does. A strict regime has been imposed which Colette feels is an insult. She glowers. She lurks in case food is left carelessly unprotected. Her pride is hurt when she hears our remarks about her belly. We hope there is no illness and that a strict slimming regime will work.

My eye was caught by this today:
Outspoken conservative political commentator Candace Owens has suggested the US military invade Australia in order to free its people “suffering under a totalitarian regime”
Quick, Netsie, hide.

Mrs Faz and I were out for our afternoon walk, as usual pickimg up litter. A man we had never seen before stopped and said if we were picking up litter we should be wering hi-viz jackets. He said he worked for the council. I should have told him that if the council did the job that our taxes paid for we wouldn't have to do it ourselves.

Tomorow we fly to Malta (d.v.). Yesterday was a bad day for my blood pressure. First the unlovely Ryanair cancelled our flight from Catania back to Malta. This meant rebooking two lots of accommodation. Then the Maltese health authorities ignored my stipulation of where we want to have a Covid test to another site which would mean paying for a taxi to take us, wait and bring us back - but worse no test result while we wait but "within 24 hours". This meant we might miss our flight. So I sent an email cancelling this but there has been no acknowledgement. Finally we have to take a taxi to Heathrow and the driver telephoned just to check it was all still on. "See you 8 a.m. on Saturday," he said. What? "No, Sunday". "Oh right, Sunday."
As you can tell this holiday is proving a nightmare.
