So, whatchya´ll growing in your allotment/garden?
It´s gone straight from winter to spring-summer here; barely got some things growing finally.
Inside: alpine strawberries, rosemary, oregano, chocolate spearmint (spearmint tastes like chocolate after dinner mints), thai basil, cilantro, and a few others.
In bloom on their own purple hyacynth sp trees, red rhodes and other colors everywhere; pink and white summer heathers, daisies, tulips and bulbs still both spring and summer. T just put the tomatoes actually out and a few other things in the glass greenhouse (not double glazed). The berries and fruits are in bloom finally. Antique apple tree has miraculously not died and looks oddly exuberantly in bloom--worried it´s the last year for it.
And lots and lots of weeds everywhere. The rhubarb is late but showing finally too.

Spinach, Pentland Dell main crop, beetroots, Courgette(x3) runner and French beans.
My allotment is 'clay heavy' so carrots have no chance!

I have a small herb garden, grow different berries and have sowed bush beans a week ago. Used to have tomatoes that grew extremely well but decided to try the beans this year. Oh, and I have a small pear tree that seems to grow quite some fruit, an apple tree that's probably dead and a cherry tree that carries 5 cherries The Kumquat tree is doing well though and the lemon tree has one nearly ripe lemon

It is mid winter here so lemons, the last of the overwintering carrots, silverbeet, parsley and soft fast growing weeds.

My pride a joy is a huge rosemary bush. It's more like a jungle plant.
I also grow raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, oregano, parsley, marjoram (sp?), calla lilies, nasturtium, some other flowers, spring onions, cale, leek.
I'm trying to get rid of a yucca plant but it seems to multiply the more I cut it.

I grew sweetcorn a couple of years back but never again.
The place where I have my allotment is large - maybe 60 of them in total - and there's a badger in residence.
Just as the corns were ripening the badger got those corn eating things that you stick in both ends and devoured the lot over night!
I know it was a badger as s/he dug a small pit to have a serious shite in after her/his meal - right next to the corn!

ooh great diversity....calla lilies, citrus, avocado, badgers, big bushes:)
the rhubarb is looking good, a bit late, maybe ready to eat in a week or so. MAJOR pruning needs to be done--major as in with gas-powered hedge trimmers, strimming everywhere then mowing or sything then mowing. Weeding.
Gardening is hard work, not just fun:)

I just got rid of the cherry tree that carried 5 cherries that looked like they would never get ripe. That stupid thing is just using too much space, I want the pear tree and the apple tree to be able to develop a bit better.
