Anyone else so fucking exhausted?! and why, how... OP first! I barely have time to keep up or catch up with the handful of online boards now. This is my break today. In about ten minutes I rush off again. We have about an hour of actual barely almost daylight, so I can´t sleep, but if I use blindouts (?) then getting up is difficult as it is pitch black not a gradual sunrise. It´s summer, with lots of holiday time, kids birthday parties, etc on top of that I still am not fluent and study like crazy everything I can every day nearly. Today so far study since 6am it´s now past 3. Another two hours soon, and then a bit more later. Tomorrow the entire day with the kids, including their sports games, and a birthday. DIY, putting up shelves, organising, running errands, seeing friends, work, etc also givens, of course. Compared to most here, my days are easy, I know:). Some of you work in an actual office all day then have all the other on top of that. How do you not get so exhausted? or how do you get less exhausted? (and it´s not that I dislike anything, most of it I do like, enjoy). Ok, running off again! eff. Am so exhausted! Just want to lie on a hot sunny beach with tropical waters and pretty fine sand, for a month, and be waited on with lovely gin and tonics!

For years and years I could do as much of anything as was required and shrug it off. Then the wheels all started to come off and it wasn't wonderful.
To top it off, at that time I had a long commute by car, around 150 miles return, but on some days quite a bit further, it was either high speed which was very wearing or it took hours.
I remember coming home one evening late and going straight to the kitchen so I could eat and go to bed. Standing by the refrigerator in our kitchen, I leaned back against the wall. I was a wreck, I was shot, I was trembling.
As ever on such occasions there were other problems, and problems that begat further problems.
I am not going to tell people to slow down as I am not sure it is possible for many or perhaps most people these days. Life has got a lot more stressful for many. I can attest that what is possible between 20 and 40 may not be good guide for what will be tolerable much after that.
Take Care.

I'm chilled after taking Redundancy!
Allotment, Fishing, Golf, Football, winding Nerds up on The Stew...That's my day!
I'll get a job soon to pay the 3 'M's - Mortgage, Maintenance and Merlot - but it will just cover that.

Allotment sounds great Tinny; I was thrilled to just sort out some strawberries and herbs in the window. And speaking of the stew, since my mac wasn´t letting me post here the rare time I had to, posted a bit over on the stew, and the Gin posts really were good--enjoyed last weekend having a gin or few, after getting the idea from the stew:).
Hi Slowcoach, yep, I think age is just a tiny bit. I´m nearly 50 in a few years! Glad I went out for a while to study with friends, really had a good time, learned some more, but chatting off topic even whilst struggling in another language, was fun, a bit destressing. I still feel exhausted just slightly less, might go to the GP see if they will have some of those Swedish massage therapy my GP was telling me about, maybe that will help relax. Take care of yourself too:)
---
back to golf, Tinny maybe that is a good idea. It´s been ages since I golfed, and we have a really pretty course along the sea side/ beach/forest. might have to get some new "sticks" though,)
thanks ya´ll.

Me too! Farking thyroid. Seems I'll be on synthroid for the rest of my life. No wonder a one hour hike was wearing me out! But, I'm really lucky. It could be so much worse.

Tired today as boy's last two teeth are coming through and he is feeding all night. Also super busy at work and on holiday for next two weeks (woooooo hooooooo) so instead of usual catching up with myself (house stuff, cooking) in his naps last two days I've had to work, so catching up in evenings more than usual so not sitting down til 10pm after a 6am wake up. Work today after no bloody sleep and I'll have no time to fart. BUT did I mention two weeks off from Friday, by then the bastard teeth will have also sprouted woooooo hoooooo!

Yup me too. In fact after a power cut at work yesterday afternoon, I've decided to do the payments from home this morning in case the power is still out and then go in after the roadworks traffic - what should be 15 mins in the car is currently 50 mins - 'Expect 10 mins delay' yeah right. It is driving me mad, I need to drive today as well as I have to run errands.
This means I've managed to get a load of laundry on the line this morning before it rains tomorrow.
I don't even have kids, how do people cope?

no, no, moan away, this is the post to moan, bitch, rant and curse in:) It is flushed afterall. Am off now again. Up since 5am, nearly noon.
Eldest daughter and I, are having a quick drink at a rooftop garden bar for part of her birthday lunch in a half an hour ---
Missalaska, the traffic is crzy here too with roadworks. Last nite two hours what usually takes 20 minutes! and it wasn´t in the news even why.
U reminded me my new washer is not finishing cycles, leaving all the water in, argh, can´t figure why don´t have time to deal with it. So two loads of laundry are wet in the wash still from yesterday....wring wring wring it out, hang it out to dry tomorrow if sunny. Today of course suddenly it´s all chilly, overcast, raining. ,)

So drive home like a maniac, get laptop and finally get to work 20 minutes late. Ugh. Now I'm in haling a sandiwch at my desk.
Oh and snaps, our dishwasher is collecting water. Gah. Paper plates anyone?

Paper plates anyone? Obv I´m a dick too, as I can´t decide which of that entirety is the funniest. Lmao. I´m sure I´ve done all that, in other words. Washer is in fucking Finnish or something plus Universal symbols I have no idea what anything means....but eff me if it will "swirl" (which I think should mean spin out the damn water!), after trying two 2 hour wash cycles. Here are your paper plates----I´m thinking I will have to buy a new outfit (dry hopefully) tomorrow, then go down to the guy who sold me this, to come switch it out. P.I.T.A. "dropping the kids off around the world" wins I think,) sorry for your day! glad u got a sandwich somehow atleast

ah too big?
My step-dad caught some brim (it´s a local name for bluegill freshwater fish), which they fried up in cornmeal, with some stuff from the garden (okra, peppers, stuffed jalapenos, tomatoes), and some ice cold watermelon from the garden. Gah summer gardens time I miss hot tropical climates,)

Catch and release over here for fish like Carp - apart from the influx of Eastern Europeans from Poland and Lithuania who have no respect and kill the lot that they catch. They really should show some respect to where they are living and have some basic manners.
Trout and salmon are fair game as are most sea fish.
My favourite fish to BBQ? Fresh - and I mean from sea to BBQ within 3 hours - mackeral. Cheap as chips as well!

Is carp endangered where you are--the reason for the catch and release? Cod is endangered but here in Norway they still fish it as much (or near as they can) for drying and export to places such as African countries and Italy. Apparently Norwegian cod are not endangered; are thriving here in the cold waters, supposedly.
.... and chips. yes:)

Carp are Carp - they grow big quickly compared with other fish like Roach and rudd etc...
They are not endagered but we like them to go back and get bi55er!
I grew up during The Cod Wars! England V Iceland...In football that would be 3-0!
Last I heard was that Cod was making a come back....

Had a lovely night out, glad I dragged myself out! I don´t usually stay out til early morning, but on the way home from friends, I noticed the midnight shops were still on (twice a year), so got some course books I needed. We had a few free outdoor concerts, free foods and drinks, different at different shops (not all of them). Movies being shown on the walls of buildings. Nightclubs open, playing music. Very lively out, had fun. Am studying a bit before bed. 2am still a bit light out....moon was huge tonight

How can anyone be 'too busy' when there's some cameltoe action to be had??
(I am sure certain females 'do' it on purpose!)
