Your take on it?
Mine is that, yet another, US Mentaloid has printed off 'How to make a bomb out of a pressure Cooker' and followed through with it....
When are you Yanks going to stop Kunts like them doing that?
I suggest that you stop the sale of nails and ball bearings...
I blame the Internet.
RIP to those 3 that died and Respect for the so many that lost legs.....

It was odd that the police said they knew one of the perpetrators and were going to make an arrest. So the guilty one knows to get out of town fast. Then the police said they didn't know so he relaxed.

I have a friend from here who was there for the marathon. He is deaf. I got a text from him yesterday letting us know he was ok but, being unable to hear, and then to see the ensuing chaos all around him was particularly frightening an experience I can't even begin to imagine.

The younger brother is still on the run at 19:30 GMT.
Chechens, apparently.
From a Secret Source, There is a part of New York State which is in Lock Down at the moment as they have a dodgy Russian car full of explosives....
I can't get my head around it and so hope that it's not a 'release' of certain Cells to do damage....

I hope that isn't true about the car in NY.....
Right now, the city of Boston remains on locked down. All sporting events etc. have been canceled. One can imagine that there are some really irate people who were unable to get groceries for the weekend etc. on top of not being able to go anywhere.
This incident will not bode well for the new immigration laws that the current administration is hoping to implement.

OK sprite,
Well it is like this ...
I don't know so I shall guess. If it turns out that they are only weakly connected to any, and I repeat any, recognisable grouping then people will take an interest in how that might work.
That may lead them in their minds, or just their imaginations, to a character known as al-Suri for two reasons.
The first being that his thinking was very much along the lines of creating lots of small autonomous units that would be almost untraceable.
Secondly and crucially it leads to conspiracy theorising. al_Suri was part of the previous Syrian uprising (around 30 years ago) that was heavily stomped on, which resulted in the Hama massacre in which ~30,000 Syrians may have perished. He was arrested post 2001 and eventually rendered back to Syria. After the start of the current Syrian uprising it is rumoured that the Syrian government opened his prison door and released a man considered by some to be the top man in terrorism strategy. To do so doesn't seem to makes much sense which is a starting point for a great conspiracy theory.

i appreciated a comment read on teh bbc today: "when a white male commits an act of terrorism in the US, they are assumed to be mentally ill. when a muslim commits a similar act, the religion is blamed and all muslims assumed to be terrorists."

i have an in-law who is a conspiracy nut... on his fb page when they were seeking the two through the security camera shots, he was posting pictures with and without backpacks like those were definite evidence and his buddies were posting stuff like: ...
slow, the conspiracy always involves the u.s. government...

slow, the conspiracy always involves the u.s. government... Precisely, al-Suri was arrested in Quetta and allegedly rendered by the US to Diego Garcia, tortured and delivered to Syria. He may well be dead, but that wouldn't put a dent into a good conspiracy theory.

With no death penalty in Masachusetts, I'm curious how the laywers will construct the charges so he can get the death penalty. Vengful as people are, that's what a certain part of the population will want.

That is possible? I always assumed one is charged under the law of the state where the crime was committed. My bet is that the ultra-right, the conservatives and republicans will demand this then. Hilarious actually, cause they are usually the ones who say the Fed should keep out of state affairs.

eff all this Conspiracy Bollocks....
What I want to know is, when the Younger, and alive, brother was hiding in the boat under a tarpaulin, who set the two bombs off inside?
Was it The Total Fucker trying to kill himself or was it the FBI lobbing a couple in to get the nut to come out?

The press and social media went absolutely stark raving bonkers during the week. Everyone had a big theory and seemed to know the truth. Take it all with a grain of salt, folks. We've all been confused and who knows if the truth will ever surface. There was much confusion and knee jerk reporting going on in those hours. The brothers did NOT rob the 7-11.
There was a 7-Eleven robbery in Cambridge that night, but it had nothing to do with the Boston Marathon bombing suspects. The photo of younger brother was taken at some business during the same time frame though I'm not sure where.
Yeah, the FBI lobbed flash/bangs to stun the guy before pulling him out. This was after the robot pulled the tarp off part of the boat.
Supposedly, his throat injury has only a bullet exit wound...no entry...so they're saying maybe he tried to commit suicide. Who the hell knows.
I believe if this was a big conspiracy, the guy would NOT still be alive. Doncha think?
Khakis, jeans, running shorts were the clothing choice of almost every man in Boston. Walk down any city street and you'll likely see the same pants and back packs again and again.
Just so you know, I frequently jump on conspiracy band wagons and have a healthy mistrust of the "system." Not ready to jump on this one because so much was misreported by armchair detectives, many of whom are under twenty years of age or by lame stream media who are lazy nits. It's a new age, baby.

I wouldn't blame him. What's he facing now? Being nursed back to health, go through court case and then get the death penalty.
Some articles said it's not difficult to build bombs from pressure cookers, so it may as well just be possible that these two acted alone. Why not? It could be. But that will open the flood gates for conspiracy theories cause people will find it hard to believe so.

One of the more interesting things they could try to find out is what they have been reading. Did they have a philosophy or were they simply disaffected?
All of the attacks on the US or their interests seem to have stemmed from one narrow strand of extremism and one that was largely wound up. The great majority of extremism is directed locally, always has been, and probably always will be. There is a line of it across Africa almost from coast to coast and another in continental Asia, and more in the Far East islands.
I cannot see that further attacks on the US make much sense. The concept of using the far enemy to further local causes is largely discredited and I cannot see that the usual suspects would fund it, e.g. rich citizens of oil states, e.g. Saudis or Qataris.
There is a good chance that these people acted pretty independently and if so that could be very problematic. Either you steel yourselves for the prospect that you have endemic extremism, as much of Europe has, or you lash out and demonise a whole lot of innocent people. If they can find a link back to another country then the war on terror could continue in much the same vein, if not they may just have to realize that there is no clear enemy to hit back at.

As much as the Right Wing in Eastern Europe and a bit of Skandoland...Apart from that, what the eff are you on about?
"Yeah, the FBI lobbed flash/bangs to stun the guy before pulling him out. This was after the robot pulled the tarp off part of the boat."
Thanks, Eth'...Just looked like body parts flying out of the boat after the bombs went off...
Looks like they were just a couple of Brothers who wanted Infamy - for whatever reason - and they sure got it.
Hang the remaining knut....
