I love the Carpe Mañana attitude in Florence, how one can sit and chat during a meal and not only not get hassled by the waitstaff but be encouraged to join in with the local chatting.
I love how every meal past breakfast includes a glass of wine and an espresso and a dessert, and lots of ambiance, conversation, community about it.
Ditto canadien´s reply@29 about the outdoors, art, food. Some of the main reasons I love it here in Norway too, all of that right on the back porch, or even a few steps outside the city centre, and in the city centre proper.

Gobs, so will you be there permanently for her then? Are you a foster in that you are temporary/she is temporary til ...? An acquaintance of mine and her husband has been taking care of a toddler now since she was born, as the mother is bipolar, has drug and alcohol problems etc. I´m not sure what will happen with where the baby will eventually stay or go, but I can´t imagine not being attached as if it was her own child, as she/they have had her since literally a few hours after the baby was born. And the baby must think of them as parents too.
Good luck, you sound like a wondermous mother! (wonderful, generous= wondermous).

I like blueberries too...and love blackberry-spearmint-purple concord grape rainbow sno-cones!

Sounds like they have found a great home and mommy. Good you realize their other family is family and important too---the more loved ones they have in their life the better ---- flicks hair too but in a fluncy way. I like all the new words we´ve learned from each other: sthruth, flounce...well there goes my train of thought to a blank. Whatever the others all are....
