oy, tinners! I've very recently experienced Brizzol airport at 6AM and it was ram packed full of people so you do want to get your arse to the airport early doors. just saying!

Oi, Aaaaaaaaa....aaaa..a? Thanks for the info' there. I've flown from Brizzol a couple of times and it is full of South West Scum most of the time on their way to some shitty Spanish resort for some Winter Sun, Lager, Fags and fighting. I hope to miss most of them as my flight is quite early. I'll park up in the over-priced car park there as I hate giving money to local farmers to park in their field. Well that was easy - NOT! Spent nearly all day working out an Hotel around Taksim Square! There are loads to chose from so you stick in a rough guide to what you want to spend and whatever site chucks up shed loads so then you look at availability for the 3rd-7th and there isn't any... Then you find one and look up reviews of it and it sounds alright - if you fancy being awake all night as there seems to be a Club under each Hotel that pipes the music into your room! Anyway, I think I may have hit a small Jackpot - But Pep's will tell me different! www.10suites.com/Reseliva.asp10 Suites came up at a decent price and location and all the reviews were top notch AND they had availability so? All booked up and I've already exchanged a few e-mails with either a Mr Chavdarli or a Mr Ferit there! They seem fine for me... Now for Peps to say that 10 Suites burnt down last week! Looks like all I have to do is sort this mobile phone roaming shite out - that could be the hardest part!

All I want to say is :
Well done !
You do the roaming thing, me secure the tickets now !

Cheers! I assume you don't know of 10 Suites, peps?.... Paprika wasn't possible as they wanted at least 2 to a room - apart from the Dorms... I see that 'the Big 3' are at the top of the League already and fene' could certainly do with a win on the 5th! On the BBC site it says that the kick off time is 18:00? I assume it is 15:00 over there? I assume it never gets 'really' cold in Istanbul during the Winter so I will be fine with normal Spring/Autumn wear from England when visiting?... 3.bp.blogspot.com/_fhliVfd2I2o/THww9r9qHEI/AAAAAAAAA58/eRI-yyZ8kBQ/s1600/4627725554_4a95db9d59.jpg

Cheers there !
I dont know of 10 suites, but looks perfectly fine. I dont see any need to check the place but if you want me to, I can, it is a close place to my work.
I did not know Paprika had such a policy, they can go f... themselves. aha ha !
ahem.
I have not checked the starting time of the match but I dont think it would be in the afternoon. Let me check.....Just checked the federation's site and there is no time set yet...I am sure it would be around 20.00.
Hey ! That outfit would attract lots of females but mostly gays here ! ;D

Thanks, AA! Looks like it's very similar to Exeter's weather at the moment so I will pack shorts, Hawaiian shirts and flip flops! I saw you walking aimlessly Centre bound by the Deaf School on Topsham Road yesterday at @2pm - I managed to keep the car off the pavement!... Could do with a goal like that on the 5th, Peps! I see that he played for Chelski for 4 seasons but only made 4 appearances. Reminds me of Meireles who Chelski signed from Liverspuds last season... The phone is sorted... It's not worth me poncing about with anything other that I have got at the moment so phoning is £1.50/minute and txts are 50p so, Peps?...When I am on the phone to you, please speak quickly and to the point! M&S have Turkish Lira anytime so looks like I'm sorted! I say we get the rough plans sorted here, Peps and then work out the fine detail laters?.... (Don't tell me now that I need a Visa and it takes a few weeks to come through!!)

Haha...You'll be stamped for 3 months visa right at your arrival.....
The weather right now is -2, -3 ...snowy...Seems it will be around 4-5 when you are here, so have your warmest cloths with you please.
No worries, we will use phones JUST in any kind of urgent communication need, I think. Or I will be texting you, I guess you will not be paying to recieve texts ?
You think I am not spending for this event ?
Me sorted home and my lady for my absence that weekend, costed me a shopping at mango, zara, la senza and a lacoste watch !
Ok, lets talk about the rough plans...

Hey!
I dare say that Peps is organized but Gobs....you know me!
The weather's settling into a cold snap here and I so hope that it's not icey and the snow comes down next Friday - is it really next Friday when I fly?...
I have bought a small book about Istanbul - like everyone would do - and it says that the Visa must be paid in Foreign Currency at the Airport...Is there really a cost or is it just one of these bits of paper you normally fill in on the plane over?
Peps? A Mango is cheap as it's a fruit; Zara could be a belt so cheap; La Senza could be tooth Floss the way 'Knickers' are going these days and a knock off Lacoste watch is about £3 on a beach in Thailand!
Leaving my 2 cats for 5 days is costing me more!
THE ROUGH DETAILS!
I'm landing sometime in the afternoon of the Friday so will say hello to Mr Ferit - I have been in contact with said Man from the Hotel - at 10 Suites and then pop out to get my bearings around Taksim and sample some local beers and food - should be ok to get my first glimpse of the wondrous Bosphorus...Over 2km's wide? Massive!
From what I remember, you are working until after Lunch on the Saturday so I will meet you down in Sultanhamet somewhere around 2 or 3PM on the Saturday?
That is enough planning for me!
Sunday is GAME ON!

It should be not so big amount and I guess you would be paying at the airport for the Visa Grecs.
We will be discussing after th 8th beer ;D on Saturday how it is cheap! to be in Mango, Zara, La Senza and a watch from Lacoste original.
So, you have a MAN to collect you from the airport ?
I have some unexpected updates here...I will be going to Tunis tomorrow !
....and will be returning back on Friday ! Ha, may be we will be meeting right at the airport here ! PM me your cell-phone, and I will check your and mine arriving hours.
Yes, I will be working till 13.00 on Saturdays, then I will be free. We' ll be contacting, to set a meeting hour if that's ok for you. May be we can make that walk together down to Sultanahmet, I will let you know via sms or a quick call. Will that be OK ?
Just dont forget to PM me your phone number ?
Sunday, will be good.

Is it really snowing there?
Airport for the Visa it is...
I tend to do Charity Shops, Peps...you will see when you meet me!
Ataturk to Taksim is via the Shuttle...I will get my bearings and see some Istanbul!
Basiktas is North Istanbul?...
I forget when I land but it's late afternoon - I have pm'ed you.
Saturday sounds great. I will walk down and meet you and I know there are some fantastic sites in or around Sultanahmet so I will be there before you and just soak up the smells and sites of Istanbul...No need for you to leave work early and cater for me as I will be fine...
Sunday will, indeed, be good...and even better if Fenerbache win!

Yes, the snow is everywhere...it was -3 yesterday and I have no doubt that it is around that today. The snow will last till friday they say.
Id prefer those shops too, grecs.
Besiktas is the almost the center of istanbul.
I am so excited for this match !
I am arriving into Istanbul around 3.30-4.00 pm on friday. Let me check your time !

Ha ! Bingo !
Life is always full of surprises....just seen your arrival time is just the time of mine !
wooo hoo !
If there would be no big delays at both sides our planes will be landing right after the other one it seems !
So, this tells me we must meet at the airport, head to my home together, which is 15-20 min. away from the airport...I will be going to work right away, we will take my car and I will take you to your hotel, which is just on the way...Make sure you everything is right for you with the hotel and that and then I go to work.
Hows that now ?

I land at 15:50 - frost and ice permitted - so see you at the airport then! All fine with what you say there so I will get into 'Town' with you and then I will book in and you will work... (You going to work after 16:00pm on a Friday is slightly wierd!) I'll wander over to the Sultanahmet area on Saturday morning/lunchtime and meet up again?...Sounds good so far. www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-16806687Can you open that link? 35+ seconds in and istanbul gets a big mention! I hope that the Bosphorous boats start running at the weekend! Assuming that the snow goes by Thursday, the Match on Sunday will defo' be on? Enjoy the Sun in Tunis before you get back!

Well, I got the news from my wife that Istanbul is just like Moscow !
I have seen the link, I dont think tomorrow would be so tough...I have to go to work to leave some pieces I have taken from Tunis...
No worries about the snow in Istanbul, this city is always ready to present needed alternatives when it is needed, anytime. We ll find our way and I do not expect any delay of the game.
Tomorrow the match tickets will be on sale, I will buy via internet early to make sure we got them.
Oh yes, I have some son here, would prefer the snow tough...
I will be calling you right after I land to Istanbul..

Nice one!
I have looked at the weather forecast and things seem to be getting better after today and through to the weekend. Last sub-zero temperatures today and a barmy 10 dgrees on Saturday!
Now there are weather warnings in England but I should be safley on the plane before it closes in - just hope I can land next Tuesday!
See you at the airport tomorrow afternnon - I'll be the one in a t-shirt, shorts and flip flops with a copy of The Times under my right arm...

Welcome home Geeks ! Hope you enjoyed your weekend in Istanbul ;D
I have just checked the gold card for Fener...And it seems it is not for free, 100 TL. What do you say ?
It says the card would be delivered in 2-3 weeks, so I should apply 1 month before the GS game to secure it. Which makes around 17-18 th Feb...

Good morning!
Fantastic time in my new favourite City and thank you! It would have been better but the company was a bit boring!... ;D
I got into my front door at 1:00am after a delay at Schiphol due to frozen flaps(!)
I bought an 'English' paper at Ataturk airport that reported on Turkish news and it said that there was a lot of problems at the Fenerbahce V Turd Burglers game that me mi55ed - it happened at half time when we were inside having a pi55 and a tea!
Chairs ripped up and tear gas.
I can see Fene' maybe playing behind 'closed doors' against Galatasary or, maybe just Laydees and children for that game?
Keep me informed?

It would have been better but the company was a bit boring!...
It was all up to you, you know, I think I did good to keep you away from those transvestites ! ;D
...
I dont think the punishments will extend to shirt-lifters game...I reckon there will be punishments but it will not extend to 6th game ahead surely.
I am not sure what happened was at during the half-time because we have seen them throwing flares and burning their own flags and such....dont you remember ?
