The answer to this seems to depend on who or what you ask.
Kidney people seems to say yes sort of, A.I. says no, not really. But either way the evidence is not strong and the research not rigorous.
For full disclosure, my observation is that mine seem to, as have those of every dog I have kept.
Now that I no longer have teenage habits and style: Does my mind awaken because my kidneys have been busy or do my kidneys get busy once my mind is awakening?
Quite possibly a bit of both but definitely my kidneys do their morning workouts in the first twenty minutes after I rouse. Either could result in a nocturnal trip to the loo.
I first noticed this when I was in my twenties and was engaged in work that could mean very little sleep for several days in a row followed by 12+ hours of undisturbed sleep. I was unbothered by the urge on awakening but very bothered after washing and dressing but before I had reached for the kettle.
Looking into some of this encountered some sex dependent considerations, and I was taken aback by a new terminological trend.
We are being divided into:
"People with Vulvas" and "People with Penises".
I trust they mean just one of either. I would hate to be missing out.
