Delhi was involved though I didn't go to India. I didn't even get as far as the toilet before Delhi Belly struck in the middle of the night. I have no idea why. Mrs Faz thankfully wasn't infected though we have both eaten the same food.I spent yesterday in bed. I got up in the evening and cooked myself a bit of rice. Two forkfuls - and I stopped and retreated to bed. Basically I have slept or dozed for 24 hours. Now I feel fine though weak from lack of food. Also I keep making spealling mitsakes so I'll stop now.

Your spealling mistakes are appealing. I am guessing Bali Belly is like Vindaloo Tummy.

Also, I never had problems in Bali. And assuming vindaloo had a Portuguese influence, I was fine in Goa.

It took longer for my brain to recover. I was convinced that the white van parked on double yellow lines across the road was the security boys (who had nothing to fear from the local cops). I am glad the white van has gone this morning. Am I paranoid? If so, then with reason. Years ago a man I didn't recognise appeared at my door and said we had been to school together (he got the name of the school right). He came in and we had a drink and he was curious about what I was doing. I had just booked a research trip to yet another communist country which I think got their interest. But he was pathetic. He said he was just passing the bottom of the lane and thought he would pay an old school chum a visit. Oh yes? And how did he know my address?

Thanks for the good wishes. My recovery is partial. The appalling diarrheia has gone. But I am weak, exhausted, disturbed sleep pattern and have no appetite. Friends were due for dinner tomorow and we have cancelled that.

Are you feeling any better today Baz compared to before? Can’t be pleasant, sounds wretched actually. Stick in there, you’ll be back on top of things in no time.

I am progressing. Apple juice, white toast and honey, decaff coffee for breakfast. We'll have some fish tonight.

I feel like I lost a day. I awoke today, no idea of the time, but just lay in bed ruminating on the nature of existence, then sat on the edge of the bed for a further undisclosed amount of time, before finally getting up. Walked down the hall to find the time was three in the afternoon. The day was half begins and already half over. It is now ten thirty in the evening and I feel dudded. Whatever happened to Monday?

We have an alarm clock set for 7.15. It was a good investment. We bought it in Siem Reap when it was still an adventure just to get there.

I suppose it was a rogue (or mutant) bacterium trying to stage a coup in your innards. At last, the good guys won.
