This is me...
I found a way of sleeping comfortably in the relative nocturnal heat. (not much of it this summer).
because naked under the duvet never works... now I've found that in a pyjama (my usual winter sleeping attire) under the cotton sheet is the most comfortable. the summer sleeping attire of choice is a... I'd say a long t-shirt dress rather than a nightie, which conjures images of sexiness; anyway, said summer sleeping attire is not warm enough. told you I was difficult! This is because I am a cold-blooded animal. as soon as you lay me down, I get cold!
Now I just need to organise my mosquito net and then I'm happy.

I understand you are the princess. Where do you keep the pea?
I always sleep naked. Like you Mrs Faz feels the cold. Now we have an electric blanket with controls for each side of the bed.

that's a fab solution, baz!
edited to add that the pea resides under the 7 mattresses, obviously! (just kidding)

Since tossing the wool blankets and eiderdown and going for a white goose down doona, I found I didn’t need an electric blanket in winter, and in summer, a sheet suffices provided I have my feet out, uncovered.
Summer sleepwear is either a sleeveless scooped neck bamboo nightie or sleeveless bamboo pyjamas with shortie bottoms. Winter sleepwear is the winter version of the summer ones.

It doesn't matter if I'm wearing the perfect attire and have the perfect blanket situation: my cat will jump up and sleep on my legs, making me too hot in summer.

I had an ordinary black moggie called Charley. She had unbelievable intelligence. When I was living in France I said to my wife (this was before Mrs Faz) that Charley was getting old because she hadn't caught any of the rabbits that roamed the property. Charley gave me a look. That night she went out, caught a rabbit, brought it upstairs to the bedroom, chased it round a bit then ate it - all of it except an ear. She slept for three days and repeated her hunting triumph. She continued this for months. Neighbours were very impressed and asked if they could borrow Charley.

My black cat is a short haired ordinary stray; my grey cat is a long-haired stray who likely has some maine coone in her.

A pea in bed is just not pleasant.

A pea in bed is just not pleasant. Did you spell "pea" correctly?

A pea in bed is just not pleasant. A pee in the bed is even worse. Edited to apologise that Scrubb had made much the same point

i used to sleep naked until a. was born, then sharing my bed with my child for a few years, it seemed better to wear something. now i always wear proper pyjamas, short thin ones for summer and thicker long ones for winter ... i always need a blanket covering me, it feels wrong to have nothing, and actually i used the same duvet in summer and winter, just now in winter i let all the actual featherbed slide down to the bottom of the duvet cover (my feet need more warmth anyway), and so basically just cover myself with the cover. if it gets very cold in winter (and it does, in my apartment) i put a second blanket on top of the duvet.

I used to have to add duvet layers in winter in England, since I lived in a house with very little insulation.
