I know Baz has mentioned these before and I know he has mentioned their english name... I don't remember how to call them in english, although I have known them in England.... argh!

nope. borlotti beans are kinda small kidney beans with a pinkish veined skin whereas the haricot coco are ... argh! you know the long flat green beans that contain small white beans? in England, the green flat "pod" around the small white beans is chopped and then cooked. can be a side dish to Sunday roast.

Helda beans? They are flat and have a good flavour and are quite long.

When we had a winter holiday in Jimena de la Frontera I came across Helda beans for the first time. I was a bit suspicious because they were flat but they did taste good. Now, living in Chipping Sodbury, they are available in Waitrose and we often have them.
